We stayed at the resort for four nights and were totally happy with our 1-Bedroom Gardenview villa. It was just huge and as the kitchen was fully equipped, we even cooked dinner twice and had breakfast on our balcony every morning. There's just everything, from the hairdryer to the can opener, you can really feel like home. And we really... More

My wife and I just returned from a week the the Holua Resort at The Mauna Loa Village. The resort is very nice, the grounds are beautiful and the one bedroom that we booked through our Bluegreen timeshare was nicely appointed and very clean. There is pretty much nothing going on at the resort after dark, so if you are... More

We chose the Holua Resort strictly by their web photos and amenities. The mapquest directions were wrong, but the reception assistant guided us in by telephone. What a beautifully manicured property both in the condo-like rooms and out on the tennis courts and in the ponds and multiple pool areas. We had a gorgeous ocean view and the sunsets are... More

Terrific Hideaway. I would recommend Holua Resort to anyone looking for a quiet and clean accommodations. It's a destination with plenty of swimming pools and too many tennis courts to count (don't forget to bring "court shoes") as well as a good home base for exploring Kona or the big island in general. The service was great, the accommodations were... More

We just got back from a two week vacation at The Holua Resort. There were nine of us traveling together and we all had a great time. We were all really happy with our overall experience at this resort. We arrived to the resort later at night and the check in process was quick. There was even a gentleman who... More

Review by Kjell-Ove Skare Only irrittation occurred at check out. I was lead to believe I had prepaid the stay when I booked, which also was clearly stated on the print out from my booking. "All reservations will be charged at the time of the booking, no cancellations or changes permitted". After an hour long checkout - with discussions, attempted... More

We loved our stay at Holua. The room is well furnished and clean. Very spacious! Beautiful scenery around the condo as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are many pools, and many bbq pits. The kitchen is clean, and they provide just about everything. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nicely decorated and spacious. I highly reccomend staying... Quiet, clean, spacious. Great value. Lots of pools to use. Close enough to all the activities, can walk to some (Sheraton next door has Hawaiian luau fire dancers on Mondays you can see for free if you go to the Crystal Blue lounge at the Sheraton next door to the Holua, also can see the manta rays that come to...
