Although our unit was at the very back of the property (facing a black construction sheet), and the farthest from the parking lot, we would still recommend this property for many reasons. We stayed in a one bedroom unit with our 2 kids and had plenty of room. The living room and bedroom are very roomy. The kitchen has everything... More

My husband and I own timeshare points with Shell Properities and must say I was somewhat disappointed. We stayed at the rost in February of 2006. The one bedroom unit that was appointed to us was a one bedroom, groung level unit that had a view of a black tarp hiding the construction going on 50 feet from our unit.... More

The room was nicely decorated and spacious. The grounds very lush and many pools to choose from. At the time we stayed, a complimentary pizza and mai ti party was held every monday down by the pool with free hula lessons, flower lei crafts, and a band. We really enjoyed our stay. Only down side was that it's not within... More

My husband and I took my parents on their 1st Hawaiian vacation for their 40th anniversary this past Christmas and we stayed in a 2-bedroom condo at the Holua Resort At The Mauna Loa Village. Pros: Large units w/ full kitchens and washer/dryer for laundry Beautiful landscaping (loved the intoxicating Plumerias) Great, friendly and accommodation staff Shopping nearby - strip mall nearby has lots of take out/dine in choices, grocery shopping, a post office and a sports bar, among other things. Keahou Bay very close - this is where many of the boat trips to... More

This is a beautiful, quiet place about a 10-minute drive from the town of Kona, with a full shopping center very nearby. There's lush foliage and plumeria trees everywhere and the smell is simply heavenly. There are fountains in the courtyard of each building and 8 swimming pools so almost every building has it's own uncrowded pool. We had two... More

Just returned stateside from our Hawaiian vacation. We spent five days and four nights at the Holua Resort. It was truly a quiet resort tucked at the end of the road. The Hilton was next door and we could hear their luau on two different nights but that was about as noisy as it got. My 10 yr son really... More
