We were getting married in January and wanted somewhere for everyone to stay. Kona Coast Resort looked great -the convenience of a kitchenette and had enough rooms for everyone coming to the wedding. Please note we weren't working with a lot of time - the wedding was in January and we were trying to figure out details and plan things... More

We have been to the Kona area three times. This resort is clean and very quiet. My only complaint is that the pool area decking is way too small for a facility this size. Worse yet, more loungers and chairs could have fit. Every day there would be people looking for seating. Only once out of the week did I... More

We were located in 2 bedroom unit as far away as possible from the main pool, however there was a nice quite pool nearby that we frequented despite painting going on for 2 days. As other reviewers noted the units are spacious, however need some serious refurbishing. The unit we were in had updated 2nd bath, but the upgrade lacked... More

Kona Coast Resort was a clean, comfortable place. It is in need of upgrades unless you have an affection for 70's Florida style!! The kitchen was decorated w/tiles & design from 30 yrs ago, and different color appliances, although they did work. We paid extra for air conditioning in October 'cause we visited during a long heat wave. Our room... More

We have a timeshare so we got a very spacious 2 bedrooms condo at the Kona Coast. This resort needs some updating. The carpet is really old and mouldy and the king bed was probably the worst bed ever. My husband end up on the pull out cough because he back was hurting too much. We also found some bugs... More

We have stayed at this hotel over 4 times, and in the past, we have been satisfied. The location is within walking distance of eating and shopping, and offers wonderful sunsets. On this occasion, the bed needed to be replaced since we were constantly falling to the center of the soft mattress. The view was somewhat poor, overlooking a rooftop,... More

We did a private vacation rental and stayed in Unit 6-304. It was a comfortable 1 BR condo with large lanai. Finding the entrance to the unit can be a little tricky (you have to take a walkway behind the security/check-in building), but we found that made our place a quiet sanctuary where we could escape at the end of... We stayed at the Kona Coast Resort for one week from 7th to 13th December 2014. The apartments were very well appointed and extremely comfortable. Was a little surprised to learn that air conditioning was an extra cost but with fans in each room we didn't really need it. There was a very good shopping mall near by with a... More

I spent 7 nights at the Kona Coast resort and appreciated my stay, This is actually a time sharing holiday resort, and even a "one bedroom" apartment is big enough to make you feel like home. You can cook and wash the laundry like you want, you have a garage for your car. A commercial center with mart and restaurant... More
