Love this place - clean, friendly and well kept. The sunsets are amazing from this location and it's convenient to everything. The room we had was roomier than we had anticipated. Would definitely go back.

I stayed in one of the older buildings. The rooms are larger and nearer the entrance. My room was in good condition. Because the resort is on a slope it is possible to get a room on the first floor without steps to get to it. The Lanai is large and well equipped - table and chairs and a lounger.... More

I was there week ago, and I am content with the resort. Apartments are very good equipped with all devices in kitchen. Two big rooms and two nicley done bathrooms. Only cons are roaches, but i saw them everywhere on the Big Island.... The welcome coffee was also very nice. Complex has nice pools and hot tubs. It is quite... More

This was our first time to the Big Island and our first time choosing a condo instead of a hotel. KCR was an great introduction to the Big Island. It is conveniently located. We stayed in building 20 which has a decent ocean view and closer to the pool than most. It is also in phase II so the rooms... More

We stayed 4 nights. Very comfortable one bedroom suite. Attractively furnished. Fully supplied. Good view of the Pacific. Well maintained property. Housekeeping staff was conscientious. Concierge staff was helpful with one exception. There is more lava than sand on the Big Island, and it would have been nice to know there is a perfect secluded beach just to the South... More

Our stay was through a timeshare exchange but the resort can be booked via normal channels as a hotel. The resort's website pictures do not reflect its dated look. Beaches are not within walking distance of the resort though they are listed as nearby. Guest services did not respond to 2 calls asking for information regarding the nearest church -... More

We got a unit of two bedrooms two baths on building 17 where is facing golf course which is away from swimming pools to avoid the noise. One star deducted due to dated chipped cabinet doors in kitchen, housekeeping forgot to clean up one day so need to remind them afterwards, limited toiletries (only bath soaps). But generally speaking, I... More

Kona isone of our favorite islands. It is off the beaten track of Oahu and there is so much to do. This hotel is in the middle of everything. Great beaches, snorkrling, and the rooms are kept up nicely. The staff was very friendly and they did give us a free room upgrade. Very lush surroundings. Will not be disappointed.

This is our second time at the Kona Coast Resort. The first time was 4 years ago in December 2009. The fac that we are repeat visitors speaks for itself. First of all, we booked this on the Shell Vacations website and not as a timeshare, so we didn't have to pay any extra for air con and the like.... More

This is our third stay at the Kona Coast Resort, operated by Shell Vacations. The property, located north of the "hotel row" of Kailua-Kona, is more laid back and oriented to the mature traveler or family with small children. There are pools and spas located across the property, tennis courts and an adjacent golf course for those wishing to practice... More
