This is a condominium property, and the unit we stayed in was well equipped with any and everything one could possibly need. It was fully furnished beautifully, and immaculately clean. It includes a very enjoyable pool area, with pool, and BBQ area. The owners take great pride in making your vacation perfect! The complex is maintained perfectly and run well.... More

Where to begin? First I will say we have stayed in Hotels in Australia, nearly every state in the continental US, visited and stayed in high end hotels on ALL of the Hawaiian Islands (we have been over 10 times) and never once have had a single issue EXCEPT at this resort. The door wouldn't open with the key provided.... More

This was our first stay at this very well-appointed, recently re-modeled condo in the Alii Villas complex. It was exactly as advertised in terms of its description and it lacked absolutely nothing. The only thing precluding me from giving it a 5 star rating was that a neighboring community's pool detracted a little from the ocean view. If you don't... More

This was our second stay in 228 and we will stay there again. It has a wonderful view of Kailua Bay and all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The unit was stocked with cleaning supplies and since we stayed a month, we needed them. It also had snorkeling gear which was very fortunate. Alli Villas in general was a... More

We rented this Condo through konanow.com for 10 days in early March, 2014. Adeline, our contact, is absolutely charming and wonderful to work with. She even gave us a list of "must do" activities and places to visit while staying in Hawaii. The condo is a comfortable two bedroom, two bathroom arrangement that has a small kitchen and laundry. The... More

First, about the Ali'i Villas itself, we actually were very happy with the place. While we were a couple of miles from the nearest decent beach we enjoyed the pool, the waterfront view at the bottom of the hill, the well maintained grounds (and yes, it's a little institutional, but not so bad as some people have said), and the... We stayed in unit #319, found on VRBO, for 5 nights at the end of May. The unit has been fully remodeled and upgraded with very nice touches. The kitchen is beautiful and actually stocked well enough to be usable if you wanted to actually cook meals there (we didn't). The host has left tons of towels, beach towels, pillows,... More

First the "bad" then the "incredibly good". The unit has "outdated" elements such as white formica counters, no garbage disposal, rusted parts of the dishwasher basket, and 70's style furniture, but the following items totally make up for not having "granite counters" or things the in-crowd must desire: books, binoculars, games, puzzles, 3 boogie boards, 3 beach chairs, mats, umbrellas,... I was looking for an inexpensive two-bedroom condo, near downtown, on the water, with a view of the water and a decent pool. This condo is exactly what we wanted. The best thing about this condo is the outstanding, unobstructed view of Kailua Bay from the balcony. The two large beds easily accommodated my family of four (kids 8 and... More

I am so in love with Kona and this property. Mind you I'm not old, but not a "spring breaker" either. To be honest, I LOVE the fact that they have rules and regular residents there. The property was extremely well kept AND so quiet! Yes, I like to sleep while on vacation and its comforting to know that someone... More
