We stayed in unit #203 and absolutely loved it. The place is very simple - a murphy bed, couch/futon, small indoor table, full studio kitchen, and good-sized bathroom with shower. Decor is a bit dated, but with a view like that, who cares? The condo was clean and functional. We were a bit concerned when we realized the queen sized... More

My husband and I stayed at 109. We were quite pleased with our stay here. The location is unbeatable being steps away from the ocean. Although this condo is not brand new, we found it to be very clean and maintained ( only complain was the loud noise of the fridge and visible rust stains on the outside). We found... More

Since these are individually owned condo units, you have to be careful what you rent. It's almost not fair for Trip Advisor to lump them all under "Kona Magic Sands" because clearly there are vast differences in quality from unit to unit. We researched the unit we rented, 311, and it mostly met or exceeded our expectations. The inside of... More

This condo was well appointed, but the good ends there. We were on the Big Island Aug 2015 when temperatures ranged from a low of 77, to a high of 90, with humidity at 85% ! Our condo was 89 degrees when we arrived, and it never got much cooler than 82 during our 1 week stay. We know that Hawaiian... More

We stayed here recently, and the whole building needs work. We stayed in unit 301, and I cannot with good conscience recommend it to anyone. The unit had electrical dangers, and outdated smoke alarm that did not work, we had problems with the hot water, and the tv was messed up. In addition the building as a whole is out... More

The building sits above a rocky area where the waves crash so hard you can hear them in the units even with the doors closed. The view from our third floor unit had 180 degree views of the ocean, a side view of the beach next door and fantastic sunset views. The unit we rented was really nice, small but... More

What a great location. While the building itself is a litttle dated, the access to the beach and the ocean front view make up for it. These are all small efficiency units, but all have the fabulous view. If possible try for one of the corner units.

We stayed at 314 for just 4 nights and we wished it could have been 14. What a fantastic view. This corner condo is large with two walls of glass, so you see ocean and ocean and park constantly. The sound of the crashing waves is loud and so soothing. We could see lots of tropical fish in each rolling... More

If you want to hear the ocean all night long at a bargain price this is the place for you. All the units are independently owned so some may be in better condition than others. We rented unit 313. There's no elevator. Hauling all your supplies and luggage up is a chore but it's well worth it. The unit was... More
