I loved our stay at Kona By The Sea. We had a 2 bedroom unit overlooking the pool and the ocean. The room was well furnished with island style furniture. It looks like it had been recently remodeled as it had a newer kitchen and granite counter tops. The staff all seemed friendly. We loved the BBQ area and made... More

We had a 2 bedroom corner ocean view room for 3 nights and we were delighted. Sleeping to the sound of the pounding surf was incredible. We also stayed another night in a two bedroom ocean front interior room- not quite as nice as the first one. But overall, I would highly recommend Kona by the Sea and will return.

We stayed for 9 days in two rooms. Room 104 definitely needs some upgrading, carpet is old worn and smelly and the patio doors don't close properly. Room 110 was very nice. Staff is helpful and friendly. This condo just needs to set some standards for rooms they add into there rental pool! So I would recomeend this condo but... More

Wow. We had the room 210, 2 bedroom suite, my brother had 209. I must say these rooms were perfect. Great leaving the window open at night to hear the roar of the ocean breakers. Nice staff, very accomodating. I will return for my whole Hawaii vacation next time.

This was our fourth time returning to the Kona by the Sea. This property is in a great location, has beautiful grounds and the potential to be just about the best place to stay on the Big Island. On our last trip here a few years ago, we were put into a one bedroom unit that was so unbelievably bad... More

Even though we paid our room 2 month in advance, we were told on arrival, that there was no room available, the hotel had to renovate some rooms and was overbooked (how suddenly does the need to renovate a room occur!?) . We were put into another hotel far away, which was definitely worse (only one bathroom instead of two... More

Aston Kona by the Sea management and staff sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience. We also apologize for the misunderstanding, as we were making repairs to your assigned room which caused it to be unavailable. Aston prefers to extend our business to other properties rather than offer a less than perfect unit, and our goal is to assure a comparable (or... More

We stayed at the Aston Kona by the Sea two nights last week. It was a clean, comfortable place to stay with a nice ocean front view. Although our unit (222) did not have an upgraded kitchen, it was clean with tile countertops. We had a two bedroom, two bath unit. The beds were very comfortable, and the living area... More

This was our first time going to the Big Island and I'm glad we stayed at Kona by the Sea. We arrived around 11 am and we weren't able to check in because our room wasn't ready. We left our luggage with them and came back a few hours later. To compensate for the wait, they upgraded us to an... More

This was our first trip to Hawaii, and we chose Kona By the Sea simply from reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. You would look a long time to find another accommodation as clean, well-located and customer-oriented as this one, and although the suites are quite dated, we found ours to be spacious, comfortable, and extremely...
