Easy access from the airport in the heart of Kailua. The minute we entered into the lobby we were welcomed with cozy lounging areas, beautifully decorated walls with Hawaiian quilts, beautiful flower arrangements and artifacts. The hotel is centrally located with astounding views of the ocean as well as the mountain. Surprisingly, the downtown traffic was not a distraction, it... more

I wasn't expecting much after reading some previous reviews, but it wasn't too bad. I had a room on the top floor of the "Tower Block" The whole hotel seems quite old, the room was a bit of a step back in time, it did have a king size bed though. Quite a nice view from the lanai, there was... more

We stayed at the Kona Seaside in early June and it was perfect for us. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and helpful, they have 2 pools and a lush green lawn with a tropical garden. You can walk down steps at the back of the hotel that leads straight out to a big shopping and market type area and... more

Kona Seaside Hotel is OK if you're just looking for a place to hang your hat. Our room was very clean and spacious, overlooking a pool and the strip mall across the street. Looked like the carpet and wallpaper were fairly new, and possibly the bathroom might have been upgraded (cheaply) recently. This room has no character really - the... more

After reading some of the reviews for this hotel I was very nervous about staying here. I was pleased that none of what I had read was true. This hotel is run by a very friendly staff from the front desk to the maids. Everybody was nice and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The rooms are... more

I was looking for an affordable place to spend a few days in Kona and after reading carefully the reviews, I chose this hotel. I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is big, nicely situated, next to the beach and shopping areas. The staff was courteous and attentive. We had a big room with views of the garden... more

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 28 nights. We stayed in the deluxe room on the 5th floor of the tower. It was very clean, hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great for any excursions at the pier, catching the free open air trolley at the King Kam across the street, snorkleing, walking... more

We stayed at the Kona Seaside Inn October of 2006. Sorry I am just getting around to reviewing it. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if my husband happens to qualify for the race another time. It was clean although very dated. Our carpet was blue shag and I think the walls were painted cinder blocks. We were... more

The only reason I would ever stay in this hotel would be that I would be diving all day or I was having a day long lobotomy and I just needed a place to lay my bags. Its location is excellent. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were Soviet era depressing. It did not have a bad vibe it... more
