There's not much in Mali Ston except 2 hotels, a few rental apartments, and 3 restaurants but a lot of tranquility and beautiful views of the small fishing harbor. There's also a pretty interesting 600 year old defensive wall with one end in Mali Ston and the other end a km away in Ston. (Note: Do not attempt to walk... More

WOW what another great little find...we stopped just to have a look and found this fantastic little family run hotel and also has a restaurant opposite the hotel that is listed in the top 100 in Croatia...The rooms are well appointed (we stayed in Villa (house) across the way from the hotel, a 1 minute walk away...this is good value... A very nice small hotel in a beautiful and relaxing community. I'm not exactly sure why they're only rated at 3 stars by the government... we certainly had a 4 star room with 5 star service in my opinion. Clean and comfortable with a gracious staff. Quiet relaxed setting. We spent a week on the southern Dalmation Coast and the... More

My husband and I stayed at the Ostrea for Easter weekend and were very impressed with the quality of the rooms, the service and best of all, the location. We splurged for a superior room and it was a bit more expensive, but all three windows overlooked the water so it was well worth the extra cost. The room was... More

Hotel Ostrea, a small, elegant inn and its family-run restaurant, Konoba (Kapetanova Kuca) directly next door, is a rare find in a small, beautiful fishing village with its very own fortress walls. A beautiful place on the planet and well worth the stop-over. Try the Stonska Torta Ston Cake for dessert after a sumptious dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast at... More

Hotel Ostrea is a small family run hotel in the small ocean side village of Mali Ston. The hotel is very clean and up to date with a conservative local flair. We had a room that opened onto the harbour. There isn't much to do here however the food is great. The hotel owns the restaurant next door which produced... More

We stayed at Hotel Ostrea during a one-night stop in Mali Ston whilst driving back down to Dubrovnik from Korcula. The hotel is a charming little place, set right by the water's edge. Our room was indeed pretty small (I don't think my 6ft4" boyfriend would have coped for more than a couple of nights in there!), but it was... More

Loved Mali Ston, especially the fabulous fish restaurants. The Hotel Ostrea is quaint, our corner room small but lovely. This was a wonderful relaxing stop over between the crowds of Split, Dubrovnik, and Kotor.

If you're looking to split up a drive between Dubrovnik and Hvar, and you like wine and shellfish, Mali Ston is a nice place to stop for the night. The hotel's restaurant was great (and the one next door to the hotel's restaurant was actually even better). However, it isn't a destination hotel itself by any means. It was mediocre... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was just perfect. We stayed in different rooms and both were great. It was not the cheapest place to stay and for that reason expensive for families. However it is romantic and quiet and the restaurant is staggering distance from your room. The fish oh! the fish! again perfect! It is in the middle of... More
