We stayed in this hotel to visit Joshua Tree National Park. It was perfect, very close to the entrance. The room was clean, bed was comfy and we were able to cook diner in the kitchen. Although the outside looks quirky, inside the room is modern. Just the way I like it. We will sure be back next spring.

I just had my second week-long stay at Sunnyvale Garden Suites. Each room is like a funky little home, complete with all you need in a kitchen, art that doesn't match, comfortable beds, and room for a whole lot of friends. The manager and staff are delightful to work with and one never knows what might be found on the... More

We spent 2 nights at this funky little hotel. It was complete with a kitchen and a grill on the patio. The grill was clean and ready to use. The kitchen was equipped, though sparsely, enough for our use. They need to add some more utensils but we were fine with what we had. The bed was comfortable as was... More

We can with four couples, three rooms. Each room is like your own apartment; clean, complete kitchen, cable TV with more channels that there is time to surf. BBQ with gas at each unit. Clean, comfortable and near the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park (or the Marine base if you are there for military). The old upright needed tuning... More

We stayed three nights. It as a bit of a dive. The bed was comfortable and the closet a good size. The safe was locked and therefore unusable. No hangers for pants. The living room couch looked and felt like it had been retrieved from the side of the road. We had to put down some bed pillows to avoid... More

Your above comments are appreciated. Our safe is always unlocked, but for whatever reason that it was locked, the resident manager would have been of tremendous help to unlock it, and could have brought the hair dryer. Our hair dryers are not attached to the wall. In the past it was left in the bathroom but they were often times... More

You'll need to be driving, but this place is way better than the usual roadside motel. It's on the edge of the modestly sized town of Twentynine Palms and you certainly wouldn't want to be walking to/from the Sunnyvale Garden Suites Hotel. Whilst the decor and furnishings are a dated and at times a bit twee the whole place and... More

Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and taking the time to write about it. Our full kitchen and other amenities bring about that relaxing home feel. We had spotty wireless connection some days in February due to a software issue. It has been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience it caused you. Thank you again for your comments. More

I travel with two miniature schnauzers so I have to choose pet-friendly accomodations. Though off the beaten path, this place was charming even with its shabby -chic decor. For the price, $99 plus a one-time $35 pet deposit, I had a spacious suite with a full kitchen, living and dining area. It even had an outdoor grill. The manager was... More

Thank you for your "eclectic, cozy, and clean" comments. You described our hotel like we would have. We love pets too so we want pet owners to bring them along. Thank you for staying with us and hope you will decide to visit again with your two miniature schnauzers. More

OK. OK. It's not the Ritz. The 5 star service in this case means, Management going way way out of the way to make things right. Greg, the manager is an exceptional individual with a very strong commitment to give his clients exceptional service. We arrived late late night in a heavy rain. Greg came out to show us to... More

Tho shockingly tacky from the front, the Sunnyvale Garden Suites have provided a perfect nest for my husband and my spontaneous first journey to the Joshua Tree area. We are quite pleased we resisted our initial urge to flee upon arrival as the front of the hotel is done up to look like one of the endless "old Frontier" tourist... More

We stayes here 4 nights. We were greeted very hospitably and accommodatingly even though we checked in late in the evening. We were given a tour of the property and shown to our suite. The property is wonderfully maintained and very clean. All the employees were very nice. The suite was well stocked with a full kitchen. The custom note... More
