The Harmony Motel doesn't look like much from the Twentynine Palms Highway, but - especially at night - the twinkly back garden is magical. Three friends from the upper midwest wanted a warm place to hike and get away from the cold. We stayed in one of their cabins. If you are looking for 5-star luxury, then don't stay here. But if you want a kitschy old style, adequate motel with interesting history then you will like the Harmony. We stayed one night in the Jack Kerouac cabin- two adults and two teenagers. Although located next to the highway, the cabin is surrounded by a fence giving it privacy.... more
