We stayed one night on our way to Joshua Tree National Park. The hotel was fine, convenient to the park. The hotel was pretty well maintained, but definitely dated. The bathroom in particular was very small. They did have a hot tub, which was nice and internet access. A decent value if you don't mind an older roadside motel. more

The Harmony Motel was a clean and comfortable option for a one-night stay. We hiked in Joshua Tree and found the motel to be very conveniently located to the park. The room was spotless and spacious, with a comfortable King-size bed and full kitchen. Though we only used the kitchen for breakfast, it was quite large and I would happily... more

We were at the Harmony Motel only for 1 night, but we loved it. It is somehow special, not like the chain hotels, that - more or less - all look the same. It was so wonderful to sit and relax in the evening - on our own terrace with view to the nice little "cactus garden" and the pool.... more

The Harmony Motel doesn't look like much from the Twentynine Palms Highway, but - especially at night - the twinkly back garden is magical. With a hot tub and a pool open late for some stargazing, and all the rooms facing east for amazing sunrises, there's just something really special about this place. The manager is hard to get in... more

We came on our way from Vegas to LA. its a bit of a detour but worth it just for the U2 connection. wish we could have got there earlier and spent the afternoon chilling but didnt get there til sunset. Quirkly place, nice pool and a good location.Easy to find, a little noisy since its next to the road.... more

Three friends from the upper midwest wanted a warm place to hike and get away from the cold. We stayed in one of their cabins. Ours was close to the highway but the traffic settled down in the evening. The cabin was nice and had a small kitchen that was well stocked. It even had a good corkscrew for wine.... more

This is a cute little motel well located near the north entrance of Joshua tree. We had wanted a place where we could cook our own meals as we enjoyed the desert (I hate to admit it, but I am somewhat of a food snob and wasn't really excited about hiking all day then settling down for dinner at an... more

This motel is adequate and a good deal pricewise. Our room was basic, with two large (somewhat soft) beds, TV/ DVD player and a large separate kitchen. You can hear guests in the next room and highway noise, and a gas heater makes a racket but it's all decent for the price. We did find the motel manager to be... more

The Harmony Motel was just right for a visit to the desert. A friendly, comfortably quirky, non-standard place in that quirky landscape (at least to this New Englander's view). The room was no frills but very clean and spacious with a very pretty little hand-painted mural on one wall. Tiny but clean, well-equipped bathroom. The motel's on a hill, so... more

If you are looking for 5-star luxury, then don't stay here. But if you want a kitschy old style, adequate motel with interesting history then you will like the Harmony. We stayed one night in the Jack Kerouac cabin- two adults and two teenagers. Although located next to the highway, the cabin is surrounded by a fence giving it privacy.... more
