ski in to this lovely hotel. We went for lunch on a ski day. Very warm and welcoming restaurant. Great views. Great service, lovely inside and outside terrace too. Menu had a great choice. Our food was simply delicious and would most certainly recommend this restaurant - thank you Hotel zur Schonen Aussicht

We were Very satisfied by this hotel we randomly found while we were traveling through Austria-Tirol.The staff we met were super friendly and gave us good advices for nice trips around their location. Breakfasts there are incredible! So many different food to choose from. Rooms clean and cozy and the view from the balcony to the mountains unforgettable. We will definitely come back.

Indeed a very nice place with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. As the name states, "Schoene Aussicht" (beautiful view) offers a wonderful view from all sides, whether looking down into the town of St. Johann, to the ski slopes, or to the ski lift and woods. The only detractor was a somewhat worn matress. Otherwise, the hotel was very good, as was the breakfast and, as mentioned above, the hotel staff was extremely friendly.

Chozy rooms, friendly reception, really good kitchen and the coffee was served better by Richard than George Clooney. :) The Salzburger nockerl was huuuge! The location is perfect. It's a way from the city hazzle but short walk to the city centre. The lift is right next to the hotel, easy acces to highing trailes. The lift goes up to the Hornpark and all the way to the top from where you can go down with the mountain carts.

Great hotel with excellent staff, super food and superb location. Particularly enjoyable to see new year celebrations. Easy access to ski lifts and relaxed feel around the hotel. Short walk down to the town (10 mins) and brilliant views from rooms either into the town and across the valley or up the mountains. Good buffet breakfast and choice of evening main courses - all tasty and plentiful.

The hotel lobby, bar and restaurant is cosy and trendy. The rooms are clean and equiped with all nessecairy items. The bathroom is big enough. Some minor comments About the bathroom is that the shower was not equiped with a curtain. Had to shower in the bathtube, which was clean. I had a room with view on the skipiste. The other room we had booked had a beautifull view over sankt Johan. The hotel is good accessable by car, parking is no problem. The hotel personel was very friendly. We booked all in, thus including breakfast and 4 course diner. We had the choice beween two menus each day. The quality of food was good (although one day we had baken schnitzel with pasta, which is not mine but nevertheless..)They serve good wines which are of course excluded. We were too early in the season, snow die not have skiing quality next to the hotel. Therefore we took the car and drive the 20m to the skiing elevators, which was also perfect.

We (Myself and wife) have just returned from a week in the Tirol, we selected the Hotel Zur Schonen Aussicht to stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel offers the very best views of St Johann, a balcony on the front gives you a panoramic look across the town and the surrounding mountains We arrived by train on the summer Saturday through service from Munich Hbf and walked up to the hotel, a climb for not for the infirm or those with mobility issues. We were welcomed by a very pleasant young lady in the reception and all was explained about our stay. We opted for the Half Board option and on the first night we were given dinner and the rest of the week we had the choice of 2 main courses, I am a fussy eater and a bit of research into translations is advisable so that you can select the best option for you. The breakfast is what one would expect "on the continent", there is choices of fruit, muesli, cereals, meats, cheese, bread, rolls, fruit juices, teas and coffees etc. There were 2 main waiters who worked both in the morning and evening and were very good in the service they offered to the guests, we tried our best German and they tried their best English. it worked. One of them gave us a demonstration of napkin folding. You can add all your drinks on your room bill which makes payment all so simple. The one unfortunate thing is there was live music on the night that we left, my wife always misses out. nothing on the hotels website to say about it as I would have gone a week later!. On departure we were up for a breakfast sharp at 08:00, paid the bill the previous night and unfortunately did not say "Auf Wiedersen" to our hosts, we still got to the station by foot for the return summer train to Munich Hbf. (this train also operates in the ski season so you may find a cheaper flight to Munich rather than Salzburg or Innsbruck. If you go in the skiing season it would appear that you are in the best position in the Tirol, you are very close to the lift which takes you up the Kitzbuhler Horn and are at the bottom of the run which finishes just in front of the hotel. Our first trip to Austria and not our last

It has parking, a little bit difficult to get up there (esspecially by bus), rooms are nice, clean, food is good, everage breakfast (nothing warm), no wifi at the moment of visit(maybe it was not hogh season). Staff polity.

We recently returned from our second stay at this lovely hotel and were once again not disappointed. The hotel is run by the lovely Elisabeth and her team of extremely friendly staff, all of whom went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed to make our holiday one to remember. The hotel is superbly positioned just above the town and ski lifts so enabling an effortless ski in ski out experience. The bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated, the food, varied and delicious and the waiting staff friendly and attentive. Carina on the front desk is delightful and immediately remembered us from our previous stay. We will definitely be back again and can not speak highly enough of this charming hotel and all the staff who work there. A very big thank you to Elisabeth who came to our rescue when the ski hire shop failed to tell us they were closed on the day we were due to return our skis. You are a lovely lady and we are truly grateful to you.
