This was our first family ski trip, we have daughters aged 7 & 10. I used Tripadvisor to select Hotel Hochfirst and was so glad that I had taken the time to read all the reviews. My only question is why it is ranked 24th out of 33 hotels. It should be Number zone! From the moment we arrived and... More

This is simlpy th ebest hotel I have very stayed in! I recieved a free room up-grade on arrival, which got me off to a good start; but that aside, I cant fault any element of the hotel or service. The staff were friendly, profrssional and very helpful, the food was excellent and I look forward totheir local draft beer... More

Second year to this lovely hotel. As flagged last year they have extended the lounge and restaurant area, all very stylish. I was hoping for an additional smoke free area but no, it seems a positive selling point that you can smoke with impunity. There is really nowhere else to sit in the evenings and so you have to mix... More

Hi The hotel was generally very good , friendly with good service. It is also very close to the ski school. This makes it particularly suitable for children. The Bergwelt and Crystal hotels are up a steep slope from the ski school. We had lunch each day in the in-house restaurant adjacent to the ski school with my son and... More

I stayed here during the last week in January with a friend and both our sons. The hotel exceeded expectations. The rooms were lovely, with beautiful facilities, not to mention a good size HD television. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. It was beautifully served and imaginative and whilst the individual portions were fairly small there were always six... More

From all my Hotel-experiences this was one of the best concerning the service. I never had such a professional nice and competent service ever. The Hotel is very nice decorated in nature colors specially the bar is extremely cosy. The food is in a very high quality. They speak french, english german some of them a bit russian. The food was excellant, the spa wonderful and the rooms comfortable. The pool was heated indoors and out to comfortable temperatures unlike some hotels nearer the main lift which while brilliantly situated have a far colder pools. This hotel will not be ski-in ski-out for less experienced skiers and they would need to take the bus (which is frequent) to... More

The hotel is not a 4 star superior hotel: we booked a standard room and the interior is extremly outdated. When we asked for an upgrade for a refurbished room, the reception guy was quite unfriendly (even though we were fine to pay for the upgrade!). We then did get an upgraded, refurbished room (which is nicely done) however there... More

Moved to the Hochfirst after four years at the E&G. In summary the Hochfirst is a first class hotel with well trained staff. Food was excellent and way above the standard offered by the E&G. Previous posters have blamed the hotel and Crystal for their choice of rooms. This is unfair as both the hotel website and Crystal website are... More

Currently staying in the Hochfirst and quite disappointed. The public areas and restaurant are of a good standard however the room we are allocated in is terrible. We have complained to both the hotel and crystal rep but apart from an extra pillow and extra duvet putting on the bed to make it more comfortable nothing has been done. We... More
