We stayed at the Alpenland Hotel for the second time in December 2014 at Christmas time. We had a good week skiing in Auffach (Niederau had no snow at Christmas). The hotel is nice and cosy and the restaurant staff is polite and courteous. The food is of a good quality and plentiful. The bar area is nice and has... More

Excellent location for access to the nursery slopes and for the gondola which goes to Markbachjoch. Despite initial fears for the snow conditions prior to departure, thankfully it snowed plenty throughout the week. The food in the hotel was good although the service was hit and miss. The staff were fairly accommodating when we requested changes to our meals. The... More

We stayed here on a Neilson ski holiday, the hotel is perfect for the ski slopes being 10 meters from a button lift, I was a bit concerned about the size of the boot room when I arrived but being a small hotel it was ok. The rooms were clean, staff friendly, food good. Each morning you make your evening... More

This hotel has a fantastic position on the slopes, the rooms are very basic and tired and in need of updating. The food on the whole was lovely but too much pork (pork of some sort on the menu ever night). Service was very slow in the bar area, you were kept waiting for a long time and the bar... More

Stayed here from 27 December 2014 to 3 January 2015. The good news is that the location is excellent for the ski slopes and other amenities in the village and the food is pretty good. The bad news is that the rooms are extremely dated and are in dire need of refurbishment, hot water is intermittent at best and depends... More

A beautiful small hotel, big enough for quiet and privacy, small enough to be intimate and cosy. I love this place and cannot wait to go back this season. We booked last minute in winter Jan 2014 and got a decent deal. The hotel is clean, the room are comfortable but basic. There are no drinks facilities in the rooms... More

My family and I have stayed at the Alpenland now for two years running. The hotel is fairly small and has a nice homely feel. The bar is great for the evenings and the drinks prices are very reasonable. The food is lovely and you get a choice each night, which is great. I also like having the steam room... More

Ski in ski out hotel, warm & friendly with great food. My trip was only short as I had to return home due to a family crisis - unfortunately the Neilson ski rep was no were to be seen which meant I had to organise my own return transfer & flights! But the staff at the hotel helped me organise... More

We stayed at the Alpenland Hotel together with our six year old daughter from the 21st of Dec until the 28th of Dec 2013. We had a lovely time. This is a family hotel catering mostly for families. The hotel is clean, and the staff are friendly. We were there at Christmas, and the hotel owner's family had Christmas Dinner... More

This is the perfect hotel for a family of beginner/intermediate skiers. The hotel is located right on the nursery slopes and ski school meeting points. It makes for an easy, stress free holiday without the pain of a morning trek to your lessons and it is very easy for the kids. The food was excellent, good quality and good, varied... More
