This is a difficult review to write. We booked for our first Christmas away, and went with Solaria after reading all the reviews posted. It was our first trip to Ischgl, so difficult to know what to expect, but we paid full whack for the trip and extra for a large room. All balcony rooms were gone (understandable at Christmas)... 4 , 50+ young men on a "lads" annual ski holiday and our first time in Ischgl - what a great ski town full of shops bars restaurants and wild apres ski...........certainly an adult environment . Solaria is a typical Tyrolean hotel (but with a mix of old traditional and modern) which was fabulous. Because its built on and into... More

I agree with the last few reviewers, a very good hotel in an excelent location. Rooms, food, staff were all consistent with it's rating. Spa area was excellent and surprisingly often uncrowded given the number of people in the hotel and size of the pool. It was great to come back to the spa after skiing and before hitting the... More

A "Excellent" Hotel, makes a "Great" Holiday. OK, some of the reviews stated that the rooms are a little dated and a bit on the dark side, however our room was comfortable, charming, typically Austrian in nature and spotlessly clean. The food was excellent with plenty of choice on offer for breakfast; and the evening meal, with a choice of... More

Decor in the rooms a little bit dated but big and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food for dinner is absolutely fantastic...all 5 courses of it and there is an omelette chef for breakfast. There is a really lovely wellness centre with 4 or 5 different themed rooms, massage room and a pool /jacuzzi. Staff were very helpful and friendly.... More

Just spent a week in the Solaria and had a great time. We had one of the smaller rooms on the 4th floor due to us having to change our booking last minute. The room was lovely and perfectly adequate for 2 people, and, as with the rest of the Hotel, was kept spotlessly clean and tidy. All the staff... More

http://www.solaria.at We have just returned from a week in Ischgl, which is great skiing especially on the swiss side near AlpTrida and Palinkopf on the other side. It gets very busy around Idalp because of the ski schools meeting place. The Solaria must be one of the first hotels built in Ischgl and is therfore a bit dated. Our room... More

We have just returned from a week's ski-ing in Ischgl staying with a group of 34 people at the Solaria. On our arrival we were given our room for which we had payed a supplement for a balcony. The room was very dark and overlooked the back of several buildings and a pile of wooden pallets. When we complained the... More
