I have stayed at this hotel three times before. All were for winter(skiing) trips and have all been pleasurable stays thanks to great staff. I found the food (half board) excellent and the facilities very good. I have just returned from my first summer stay there (hiking)and all the above applies. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. more

The hotel is situated in the very centre of the pretty village of Ellmau. It is handy for catching the local buses and the free KaiserJet bus service which links the four villages in the valley - Going, Ellmau, Scheffau and Soll. Family run hotel with a clear focus upon friendly, quality services and great food. Traditional, clean and comfortable room with stunning views of mountains, oh, and don't forget that outdoor spa! but this hotel did. we had a superior room as we took my daughter skiing and needed her in our room. what a fab place i want to go back but sadly can't afford it! i work in the travel industry so get to stay in some amazing places so i expect a lot and this hotel delivered 10 fold!... more

We were staying in Ellmau because my daughter chose to get married there. The hotel staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. In 1995 we returned to the ski slopes with our children aged 3 and 6. After researching, we decided Ellmau was the ideal place for families (the GB Ski Club, I believe, agree).
