Great hotel near the main lift and bus station to go to Kaprun. The hotel is also very central to the bars and restaurants. Fantastic breakfast and very friendly staff. Good communication during the booking process with a very good customer web portal to see your reservation and deposit paid.

This is a lovely cosy family run hotel that feels like the heart of the village. Great food. Friendly staff. Really good set up for skiing with good storage and excellent location for access to city express and the bus to ski school. We loved all the music at night, especially for Shrove Tuesday. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here with Crystal for a week in February. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the town and only a few minutes walk (in ski boots) from the ski bus or the CityExpress lift. The rooms and bathroom were modern and really spacious and the food was excellent. There was plenty going on in the restaurant and bar area which made for a great atmosphere. The hotel also has a ski room with individual lockers and boot warmers

Stayed at this hotel last week for a family skiing holiday, we had fantastic stay, the rooms are clean and modern with comfortable beds. We stayed on a half board basis, the breakfast selection is vast, a full range of cereals, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, bacon, sausage, fresh scrambled eggs, breads, salad, cheese etc. The evening meal was of high quality, with a speciality soup and salad bar as a starter and an exceptionally well presented main course. If you don’t fancy any of the options you can always choose the schnitzel and fries as an alternative. Very good boot room with individual lockers for each room. There is a small swimming pool and sauna. We were very well looked after by Steffanos, nothing was too much much trouble for him. The city station gondola and Bründl ski shop are a five minute walk up the hill. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Everthing was lovely, just like 35 years ago. A point to improve are the tables in the restaurant. These are very small to feel comfortable with your legs. The pastries at the breakfast buffet could be a bit more crunchy. It helps if you do not put them under a napkin.

The hotel Zum Hirchen is simply wonderful. Stayed here with my family in two rooms for our annual ski trip and I can honestly say it cannot be faulted. The rooms are large with beautiful bathrooms, comfortable beds and are clean and well appointed. The food is stunning; fantastic breakfast selection (hot and cold) and the evening meal is restaurant standard. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The bar/reception area is so comfortable and there is an additional apre ski bar outside and one in the lower ground floor. As a family we have travelled for the past 15 years on skiing holidays and this hotel is one of the best. Not often you can say a hotel is faultless but this one is. Well done, this is how a hotel should be run and thank you for an exceptional week.

Part of a tour group. Treated like second class citizens at meal times particularly the poor quality dinners. Haphazard service, disinterested reception staff. Rooms comfortable but excessive road noise. Owner clearly didn't like Brits. Central location with easy access to better restaurants. Overrated.

Good morning from Zell am See, we are awfully sorry, that you feel like this. Our restaurant is an awarded restaurant and our hotel guests get as well excellent meals. Our kitchen chef is careful about regional products and that everything is fresh. The owner is a wife, and she likes the british guests very much and she also speaks a perfect english. I think you mean the senior chef. He is 80 years old, maybe you got a wrong impression from him. You tour guide Herbert told us, everybody was happy and liked the stay, so it is very difficult to do something after your stay. So maybe we could change something, if you told us your complaint at resort. Yes, we are directly in the centre of Zell am See that is a very good location but not a quiet one. We are very sorry about your impression of the hotel. Wish you all the best and stay well.

Spent a week with a tour at this hotel and by the standard of the bedroom we have seen, I wouldn't qualify this hotel at four stars. The first bedroom was terrible and with very little light from a door leading to a very dark terrace, shared by 3/4 bedrooms. No windows!! Shower was in the bath tub(4 stars??)and about 2 feet wide. Requested to be moved and reluctantly we were give a better room at the back of the hotel. Even there the shower was in the bath tub and one had to step over the side which was over 55 cm high and once inside very slippery. Not very friendly to peoples over 75s or any other age. I understand that some bedroom have been updated and are better, but as a person that has frequented that part of the world (lower Bavaria, Tirol and South Tirol), for the last 15 years, I can guarantee than one can find 3 stars hotels better than this one. I do not suggest going H/B. Staff were excellent. Avoid room 106.

Hello from Zell am See, we are sorry, that you didn´t enjoyed your stay here in our hotel. We don´t know before, how old the guests are, especially not in a tour group. It would be always better, that the tour operator notice special requests, so the hotel know it before. The problem is, we have different room types and the travel agency booked only the standard rooms for this tour. I´m really sorry. We wish you all the best and stay well.

Check in was very easy and Jasmin explained essentials very well. We were in room 233 next to our friends. Lovely clean warm well equipped room with comfortable beds and great shower. Spotlessly clean. Nice balcony overlooking the apres ski action but no noise. We ate in the restaurant two nights. Food was very good and breakfast each day had good selection of hot and cold food. Well done we’ll be back
