Hotel Grüner Baum is located in the middle of Zell am See, just a few steps from the main streets and 2 minutes from the lake. Our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom had a shower and a tub and was newly renovated and in perfect condition. The room had a very large balcony overlooking the mountains. Parking was... More

We were a family of four who had a two room apartment with balcony on top floor. Clean and newly renovated. Our teenagers slept in two sofa beds in livingroom/kitchen. This was worked well since it was a big room which also fitted a kitchen table with 5 chairs. Wifi worked fine. Drawbacks were no Air-condition which is a challenge... More

The location is very central, the staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable! The ski lift was not far and the bars were closer. There was no noise if the windows were kept closed at night, though the night we did sleep with the window open it was not too noisy, too late.

My wife and I had an excellent time in Zell am see at the hotel Gruener Baum. The staff gave us a warm welcome and our room overlooking the mountain (beautiful view) had been recently renovated to a fantastic spec considering the hotel has 3 stars - the bathroom had underfloor heating with a huge separate shower and bath. The... More

Nothing was amazing and nothing stood out. It was clean and the staff were pretty straight forward with their service. I wouldn't really call this a hotel as much as a clean place to sleep in at the end of a long day at the slopes. If you're planning on spending time in the room, this may not be the... More

We stayed one night in June in the middle of a really hot spell and we were given a really large room on the 3rd floor at the back. No mountain view but loads of space. We did have to make a compromise between getting air in the room on a hot night and keeping the noise out from partying... More

Wife and myself had such a wonderful experience of Austria, Zell am see and the hotel Gruener Baum. We got a warm friendly welcome and our room 142 had the mountain view we had wished for. Our room in the main centre building has been recently renovated and was first class in all aspects, even heated floor in bathroom with... More

Friendly staff. Good food and wine. Big bathroom with a spacious modern shower. Only problem was the balcony door could not be left open at night because of obnoxious groups of people partying in the streets at 4am. ( And this is low season for tourists) Would not stay here in the summer because of this. Other seasons probably ok.

Good location in the middle of city. Room was clean and lately renovated. Free car park. We had a view to ski slopes from our balcony. Will come again. Helpful staff; ski school can be booked from reception desk.
