My wife and I had seen the excellent reviews on tripadvisot and decided on that basis. We stayed for 10 days half board and could not have been more satisfied...The staff were excellent, no language problems, we had a large room in the extension, two balconies magnificient views of the lake and mountains. Fabulous, is the only word to describe... more

We chose Parkhotel Billroth for the excellent reviews it received via Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, and if you don't like something on the set dinner menu, you can ask for this to be changed (within reason!). The service is second to none, with waiting staff trained and educated in what they're serving and also a good... more

Well positioned hotel overlooking lake Wolfgansee. 15 minutes walk from the centre of St Gilgen, a very pretty village with good selection of cafes etc. A must is a very amusing visit to the music museum; for adults and children. Be prepared for quickly changeable weather Hotel has a very good standard of evening meal, people dress up and some... more

I think we can save a lot of writting by just saying "fantastic". However as this is a review site I would like to let anyone who may be booking why we came to this conclusion. We booked this holiday with Inghams and I guess this is the only area where we may have a slight complaint. We wish companies... more

St. Gilgen must be the prettiest spot on earth as is the Parkhotel Billroth. We stayed there two years ago and returned again this June. Our two daughters, ages 21 and 16 joined us and they, too, look foward to going back. We talk about it almost daily. The hotel, ambience, breakfast, rooms, cleanliness, hospitality, etc., etc., etc. and the... more

We chose Parkhotel Billroth on recommendation from family friends and were not disappointed. A ten minute walk away from the centre of the small town of St. Gilgen, the hotel occupies an idyllic location with views of lake Wolfgang and the surrounding mountains from it's lovely garden and restaurant terrace. We also had a lake view room in the new... more

Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Billroth. I can confirm that it is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. We had a lake view room with a stunning view down the lake. The whole hotel is kept so well, the staff are friendly and helpful and there is a very good atmosphere. Claudia on reception is especially... more
