We stayed 4 nites here this week .When we checked in I asked Annalise (owner) if she had ever visited the states and her reply is noted above. I was totaly pleased with this small well decorated Austrian hotel.I reserved room #13 based on this forum and owner was well prepared upon arrival. It was the " morning room "and... More

Feels like you are staying with family as the rooms are very cozy and decorated like a family home. Nice breakfast and location near road. Nice peek a boo view of mountains. Our two rooms had an adjoining entryway and kitchette, which was great we could make some coffee and tea in the morning. Great little town to stay at... More

We stayed at this very lovely Hotel (or perhaps it's sort of a Guest house or a B&B). What I remember the most is that everything was just fine and that the owner tried everything she could to ensure we were happy. I would describe the hotel as clean, comfortable, relaxing and good value for the money. The decor throughout... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for six nights. The room was very comfortable with a balcony and view over the lake and mountains. Breakfast is very good with lots of choice. We had the same table reserved for us every morning which was great. Anneliese collected us at the airport and her husband dropped us back at... More

My family and I had the best experience possible in the lovely little village of St. Gilgen. My father having visited the place and lived in this nice little hotel years ago, he was glad to see that the homely atmosphere persists as he remembered it. The room we stayed in was cozy and comfortable with a nice view and... More

Its one of the best hotels I have stayed in for location, service, room comfort, food and value for money. The beds were a bit hard but thats a small price to pay as this is a wonderfull hotel. we had a room that looked out over the mountains and I loved just watching from the balcony the paragliders came... We were met by the owner at the airport which was great, no hassle at all and transferred to the hotel which was so welcoming and friendly. The room was absolutely spotless, and overlooked the lake and church. The breakfast was plentiful and everything you needed for a good start to the day. The village had plenty of places to... More

We have stayed here many times over a 15 year period. This is more than a hotel, it is a wonderful experience in hospitality, a friendly owner who provides beautiful spotless rooms and a delicious breakfast. No trip to Europe would be complete without a vidsit to St. Gilgen and a night or two in this delightful hotel. We will... More

As the previous review, this is home from home. It really doesn't feel like a hotel or guest house, such is the friendly service and homely atmosphere. Breakfast is excellent, the rooms large & spotlessly clean, nice balcony on ours, I think on all rooms. The location almost perfect, lakeside would be better but this is only 5 min walk... More

We all loved this hotel. It is a wonderful family run hotel which is more like staying at a friends house, with its ornaments and homely touches, It has excellent car park facilities and excellent location for the shops/bars/cafes and cable car (12erhorn) The family were very welcoming and helpful, there when you needed them but not invasive. The breakfast... More
