We were slightly anxious about this hotel having read other reviews but were very impressed! The hotel was in an excellent location. The rooms were traditionally Austrian and beautiful and were cleaned every day with fresh linen whilst we were eating breakfast! The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was excellent and we had a lovely view over the... more

Stayed here for a week in May 2009. Hotel was far better than expected having read other reviews. Spotlessly clean and fresh towels/bed linen each day. Excellent choices for the continental breakfast, cheese, hams, salad, breads, fruit, cereals, juice - fresh every day and lots of it. Pool was clean and not over used. Decor typically Austrian. At foot of... more

I have just arrived home from a week in beautiful Mayrhofen. The hotel Obermair is in a good location and is a beautiful hotel, it was spoiled by the rudeness of a member of staff and the owner's wife. Along with my sister, we arrived at the hotel at around 20:30 on Wednesday the 20th of May. There was no... more

Went to Obermair May 16th. Room 12 top floor .Small annex room. Was small but ample for sleeping. Television only 2 stations, but not in room long enough to watch. Breakfast was bread rolls, cheeses, meats, jams, fruit , boiled eggs and flakes etc. Mayrhofen lovely village. Plenty places to go on trips. Not much nightlife, but too tired to do... more

My friend and i sat in the travel agents and were told this was the cheapest hotel and value for money so we took it. Really couldnt fault it. Room was small but basic and enough room for two. We stayed in the annex with the bedroom window looking on to the garage, (which we did not hear a single... more

Mayrhofen is fantastic!Great atmosphere, lovely restaurants, especially the Manni's Hotel.Try the Scotland yard for cool young drinking spot and immediately apres ski the Brucke is great! This "hotel" is more like an average B&B, very cute Tyrolean atmosphere but the Manager and her husband are the rudest "hoteliers" I have ever met!We were greeted on arrival with "out out!" not exactly... more

Here are the bad points about the Hotel Obermair 1. On one side is a farm with farm animals, so the hotel stinks of animal manure much of the time 2. On the other side is a bus marshalling yard, so from 5am there is a loud din of revving engines, and very loud piercing reversing alarms, so don't expect... more

We stayed in the Obermair Feb 08. Location; The hotel is located at the edge of the town of Mayrhofen - The hotel is within walking distance to every part of the town as the village is only small, the lift is approx 10 minute walk (not to far if you leave your skis on the mountain) Staff; The staff... more

This is lovely little hotel. We had a room for 3 which was really a room for 2 with a third bed, but plenty of room. Break fast was great the usual continental style with cereal, rolls, pate's, cold meats and cheeses. Dinner was provided in another hotel which was only 2 mins walk and the food in there was... more
