We enjoyed a day visit here. You pay $5 per adult, $2 per child to use their beach. The beach is beautiful and safe for swimming. It is sheltered from the waves that make for good surfing at other nearby beaches. There are two palm-covered shelters with hammocks and picnic tables. We were able to have one to ourselves. On... This place is one of kind, a piece of art. Great beach, food was good and reasonably priced. Lester the owner is great! Get an oceanview room if possible, #6 is amazing! The best part are the animals. Many many monkeys. Also deer, emu (I think. looks like a small osterich), many more. Highly recommended place!

This is not your usual resort. It has been a creation of love; for nature, wildlife and architecture. It’s historically Panamanian with a modern twist. I highly recommend you give it a try with no preconceived notions. Accept it for its unique characteristics. There is no pool, but you are on the ocean. They serve meals, not high end, but... More

I visited this place in carnivals which means it was very full. The beach was very beautiful and my family really enjoyed the animals over there. It would be better if they would clean up better the bathrooms. I think if I visit in another season when its less full it would be cleaner. I find the entrance kind of... More

We stopped by for lunch and a beach stroll. The$5.00 entry fee was voided because we were going to have a late lunch. We had fresh fish and a shrimp plate. The fresh right off the boat fish was cooked to perfection. The shrimp were large, spiced perfectly. The bottle of wine chosen for us was very good. As you... More

If visiting Pedasi, this place is strongly recommended. Located a few minutes away from Pedasi downtown. Beware that from their entrance street towards their location, it is a dirt road, therefore consider driving carefully. Once you are in La Playita, you will notice a gentleman will charge $5 for using their commodities. Totally worth it. This is a rustic place,... More

As other reviews state, Lester knight, the owner and famous retired jockey is the owner of this property. Meeting Lester is a delight. He is charming and likable. Lester offered a tour of the Oceanside rooms that are being completed now. The work is incredible. The rooms offer a deck overlooking the pacific bay Lester owns. Views are outstanding. The... More

A beautiful and very exciting place. The best beach of Panama in the pacific coast, like a carpet. There are several types of animals free, like parrots, monkeys, emus, a lot of birds and butterflies and one Bambi. It is a peaceful and quiet place. It is very close to Iguana Island and you can go whale watching to Pedasi.

After reading all the wonderful reviews we decided to book Playita for 5 nights. Well, can you imagine our surprise when we entered the road to this small resort to find 15 bus loads of people. There were people everywhere. We could not even get into the grounds. There was know reservation area or anyone who spoke English to help... More
