Custer Mansion really is a mansion close to downtown Custer. The location is terrific. The inside is OK, maybe a bit too homey. There is some beautiful pottery, along with stuff like vintage dresses hanging on hangers and mannequins as display items, and lots of dried/silk flower arrangements and Victorian style prints. It wasn't quite my style, but if you like... more

The owners were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome and served a delicious breakfast every morning. The Inn has a great, central location for all of the attractions in the area. However, it needs some updating. There is way too much carpeting and way to much bric-a-brac. I would suggest tearing all of the carpeting out (I... more

We just spent three fun nights/days in the Black Hills and really enjoyed our stay at Bob and Pat's Custer Mansion B&B. The location, in Custer, SD, was convenient to Custer State Park, Wind Cave NP, the Mickelson Trail. and of course Mt. Rushmore. Bob and Pat could not have been more accommodating--we have some specific dietary requirements, and (with... more

This is a Bed and Breakfast that has some of the best food that we have ever tasted. All of it was delicious, but if you leave having not experienced the buttermilk syrup, you might extend your trip until you do...WOW, yes it is that outstanding. But then again, so are the hosts Mike and Pat. They are so wonderful,... more

My husband and I stayed 4 nights and loved it there. The hosts Bob and Pat are so fun to visit with and make you feel most welcome. The breakfasts are so good, we couldn't wait to see what was prepared each morning. If anyone finds their travels taking them to the Black Hills area, a stay here is a... more

Our room was cozy, breakfasts were excellent and the friendliness of the Owner/Hosts set the tone for all the others who we shared breakfast with. They have... more

My fiance and I decided to take a little romatic getaway for valenties and we couldn't have imagined having a better time! The inn was amazing... the history, the decor, and the location. There was so much to do in the Black Hills and the surrounding area... Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park... that we ran out of time... more

Pat & Bob Meacham were just wonderful and their Bed & Breakfast is a delight. Filled with lovely antiques and collectibles, it's spotlessly clean. We arrived hours later than expected, and were warmly greeted, in spite of the inconvienence that we had caused. Bob is a super cook, and breakfast on both mornings was delicious & filling, ehnanced by Pat's... more
