My title gives you a hint of my only real problem with the place. Location right on 16A there IS highway noise, esp. in the morning, but almost anything in Custer proper will have the same issue . Stayed for 3 nights in one of the cabins. Very clean and nicely appointed. Very happy that we chose to stay here and plan to come again. The staff is friendly and helpful - allowed us to switch to a different cabin that we liked better. The location is very close to Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park. Highly recommend... more

the title says it all. The lodge was quiet, with a cabin feel; pines and cedars out back. A great and friendly staff (Pat and Dave). They were helpful with tips and very friendly. It's a very accomodating place to stay! more

My husband and I, along with our four children, stayed at Rock Crest Lodge for 4 nights in July 2009 and were very pleased.
