Booked this location based on a neighbor's recommendation. So happy we did so. We are on a 28 day coast to coast and back road trip. We had just encountered 2 days of pretty rough storms in Utah. The couple that owns this place helped us check local weather even showing my nervous daughter a radar report with no storms... More

Very helpful staff from the beginning. Staff escorts you to your site and helps backing in and ensures that you have everything you need. The facilities are clean and in good working order. I will definitely stay here again if stopping in Custer.

The owners, Ron and Angie, are very helpful and friendly. Their knowledge of the area around Custer was great. Big Pine Campground is well maintained and the bath/shower rooms were especially clean. It is well located for easy access to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and Wind and Jewel Caves. We couldn't have asked for a better place... More

We spent 10 days at Big Pine with our family. Ron and Angie Blank are great hosts and always ready with suggestions for side trips around the Custer area. We learned that Big Pine is a destination for a longer stay, not just an overnight. The campground is well maintained. It's a great place to stay.

Had a great experience at Big Pine. The owners are extremely helpful and nice. This is not one of those campgrounds with all the bells and whistles; swimming pools, playground, pony rides, etc. just a nice quiet, clean place in the pine trees. That's exactly what we look for. We would stay there again anytime.

This is the BEST campground we have ever stayed at! Very secluded RV sites nestled in the pines. The hosts Ron and Angie are wonderful and friendly. We arrived a couple of days early and they made sure that we had a home until our reservation here. The campground and laundry room are meticulous. Sites are very level and Ron... More

Of all the campgrounds I have used, this is singlehandedly the very best! Angie and Ron's focus is to see that you have the best camping experience possible. They treat you like family. My friend and I were traveling on motorcycle and spent a week camping here. Easy to get in and out of; and fully equiped!. They just made... More

Ron, Angie and Nancy are our dear friends who treated us like family! We stayed at Big Pine for five nights with a fifth-wheel camper and during that time eloped at Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park with Rev. Jodi Olson officiating our ceremony. It is beautiful at Big Pine! At night, by the campfire, the wind gently rustles through... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Big Pine Campground. The owners, Ron and Angie made us feel so welcome. They have the cleanest laundry room I have been in on our month long trip. Special shout out to their sweet rescue dog!!

Pine trees, spacious sites, clean bathrooms, nice laundry facilities, firewood delivered to site, great camping. Nothing to complain about at all. This is a very nice campground. We would stay here when back in the area. It's only a couple minutes west of downtown Custer.
