The lodge itself is newer with a rustic feel. The rooms had fun, rustic décor as well as the lobby. My biggest issue was the fact that this lodge does not have an elevator and our room was on the second floor. This was not disclosed to us when I made the reservation. I understand that I didn't request a... More

Nice and quiet. The staff is helpful but not very talkative. They were having problems with the room key machine. It is clean, the only thing we noticed was a little dust on the lamp shades and around the edges. I would not pay extra for a balcony room. The trees hang low and block your view. There are also... My husband and I planned a weekend getaway to the Black Hills and stayed one night at the Creekside Lodge. Our room was nice and quiet and had everything we needed. As we drove up to the hotel you could see wildlife everywhere. The staff were friendly and helpful. This lodge is open year round and we will definitely stay... More

Stayed at this hotel on a business trip during the off season. While it is not a large facility it was very rustic, had a country feel and laid back atmosphere. Greeted by a friendly desk clerk the entryway was spcious and what I would have expected for a hotel near the wildlife loop. The room had comfortable beds, flat... More

We came to Custer State Park for a wedding at the Game Lodge. Being the off -season, the Lodge was not open for guests. Creekside is an adjoining property, so was very convenient. We made a long weekend of it, staying three nights. Everything about the room was of wonderful quality. The furnishings were beautiful and bespoke of the western... More

We had booked to stay at the State Game Lodge Resort and somehow ended up staying in this lodge - still having to sort that out as this is a much cheaper place to stay. All in all it was a very nice experience. Our room was big but a bit on the dark side. The good thing was that... More

We spent three nights here and averaged about $200/night. The room was quite large and was well appointed. The bed was comfortable. There was seating for two near the bed as well as a sleeper sofa in the other half of the room. It had a desk and office chair as well. When a breakfast is de rigueur not having... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. A short walk from the state lodge and restaurant, it is ideally suited for those suited to a bit of peace and quiet. Our room whilst somewhat on the dark side - frustrating, with no balcony, like others on the top floor, was more than adequate, with plenty of room and a huh comfort... More

Our family of 5 stayed at Creekside Lodge in August. We fit comfortably in the 2 queen suite that also had a sofa sleeper. The rooms are very nice. The room is large and included a table with 2 chairs, a big comfortable reading chair with ottoman, a dorm frig, and a microwave. I'm not sure when the property was... More
