We recently stayed here one night to test out our pop-up before we took it on a trip to Colorado. That was a great choice on our part. The campground is quiet and heavily wooded. Because it is off a road that doesn't have much traffic it is pretty quiet. The restrooms are family-style with toilet, sink & shower in... More

We stayed here with our family in June. I was a little concerned when we pulled in but was pleasantly surprised. This campground was really cute. The shower house and laundry rooms where very clean. Actually some of the cleanest I've seen. The prices were some of the best. I wish it wasn't such a drive to the major attractions... More

Anyone can take a parking lot and turn it into a campground... This campground, however, has character and scenery. Beautiful tall pines all throughout, wildlife ( we had a doe that visited us every morning!) , no major road noise! All makes for a wonderfully relaxing experience. Great location to Custer State Park, just a couple of miles to Crazy... More

We stayed here recently with our family for four nights and had a wonderful time. We met the owner who went out his way to help us with firewood. The manager was friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful, quiet and shaded. We had deer in the camp early in the morning. The bathrooms are excellent and clean also. I... More

Very clean and well kept, loved the fire pits. Rented a cabin also. The spaces for big rigs are a little tight, but manageable. Lots of deer in the camprground. IF COMING FROM THE NORTH, FOLLOW THEIR DIRECTIONS, NOT YOU GPS. Low and narrow tunnel on 87 the your rig will not fit through.

My wife and I'm spent 4 nights in campground in mid June 2014. We chose it because of it's good reviews as well as it's good location to town of Custer .. and proximity to State Park. We're glad we stayed .. Very friendly and helpful lady (manager ?) helped us during registration... providing us with maps and suggestions on... More

Stayed at Fort Welikit Family Campground the end of May for three nights in our 5th wheel. Pull through spot, large enough for my pickup truck and 35' 5'er. A little close between sites, but not as bad as I've had to put up at other campgrounds. Restrooms are a "10", individual toilet, sink and showers in eight rooms. Staff... More

I called this campground twice while planning our summer vacation. The first time was to just check availability and the 2nd was to book our reservation. Both times the people were so helpful. Today I spoke with Lindsay and she was amazing. If you plan on going to this campground I would suggest calling to make your reservation, I went... More

We absolutely loved this campground. The staff was amazing. The RV spots were great. Hot showers, clean restrooms, and great laundry facilities made it great for me. My kids loved the playground and all the wild animals roaming around. It was close to everything, easy to find and very quiet. We would highly recommend you staying here.

It was the best campground we have ever stayed! Beautiful, clean and hospitable. Definitely deserves 6 stars! Bathrooms were super clean. The Fort Play area was in a great area away from campsites so kids could play without waking anyone. We had issues with our RV when we arrived, which was late in the evening. Bob, the maintenance man came... More
