A beautiful gulch setting, a pond, semi secluded, charming cabins and facilities that don't distract from the Wild West setting, but enhance it. Large RV sites, friendly staff, clean manicured sites and grounds, bathrooms and laundry (we were unable to use though, due to a current repainting). The only reason we didn't give them 4 stars was lack of food... More

I rented ATVs this place twice, the first time in the summer the experience with Custer's Gulch was okay and the ATVs were really fun. We rented them a second time in the fall and did not have a good experience at all. The owners where rude, disrespectful, and belligerent. The lady said herself that their main concern was making... The sites are so spacious and green! The whole place is quiet - it is more of an adult campground (no kids facilities). The bathrooms were nice and clean. The site was level. Great location to get to Custer State Park, Crazy Horse and not a far drive to Mount Rushmore. The skies were so dark and beautiful. Fire pits... More

This campground is set back from the road so you won't hear any road noise. Luckily, the logging operation was shut down, too. The campground was very, very quiet; I loathe people noise and I was as happy as the proverbial clam. The rock formations behind it are beautiful. The grounds were very clean and the grass was mowed. Our... More

This campground is a very private and beautiful place to camp, that being said, the day we arrived at 9 am, we walked in to the office to check in. We were told that check in was at 1 pm. We have no problem with the check in time if we had been told that before. Also, the way we... More

we recently stayed here for almost a week-the owners were not very friendly and we had reservations for an ATV which was cancelled by the owners son right before the holiday weekend-our son and his family were coming and we had this ATV reserved and they yanked the reservation at the last moment. Then to add to the situation, the... More

The tent sites were off the one side of the campground and all backed up to the National Forest. They were quite large with enough room for a large tent, vehicle, shade tent and picnic table. The tent sites were a bit farther away from the bathrooms our site was maybe a 5 minute walk. Which is a long way... More

Pros: very clean site, very private individual sites, very clean bathrooms/showers, nice friendly staff Cons: we had a site all the way at the end of the camp site so walking to the bathrooms was bit of a drag

We camped here during the Sturgis 2014 Motorcycle Rally in a 39' Fifth Wheel Toyhauler. From the moment we entered the RV Park we were greeted by a warm and friendly face. From there everything just got better. The park is laid out so that there is privacy between units, a nice grassy area to relax and great hook up... More

Nice spacious sites in this park. We were at the top of the park and it was a long way down to the restrooms and laundry. No road noise at all .and it was nice to hear the wind thru the trees. Not far from town to pick up supplies.
