Fortunately we did not need to use every bed. The master bed was very comfortable, one of the queen beds just ok and the other one sagged so much just looking at it - needs urgent attention from management. Despite this, I would thoroughly recommend staying here - so relaxing, pretty, peaceful and convenient for Rushmore, Badlands etc. Our cabin... More

We really enjoyed this place. Individual cabins were well kept and clean. The lodge dining was pretty phenomenal. Wife had walleye and it was excellent. I had the tobasco chicken and it was great as well. We only stayed one night. Each cabin has a firepit which we used to roast some marshmallows in the evening. I'd get bored if... More

Spent 5 nights in cabin#23 last week. Great location to use as a base of operations for seeing all the tourist spots in the Black Hills. Also took a trip over to the Badlands one day. LOVED sitting on the front porch in the morning with my coffee until the hubby woke up. Short walk to the stables the day... More

My family stayed at Blue Bell lodge in a housekeeping cabin that slept 8 people. Our family group consisted of two grandmothers, a grandfather, my daughter, son in law, and three grandchildren ages 5, 7, and 10. The cabin was dated but fairly clean. The two bedrooms and kitchen were very small. I would recommend that this cabin should be... More

Oh yum!!!! We stopped in for lunch today after touring the park. Loved the rustic log cabin decor...the food and the service was excellent. Hubby had a beef melt sandwich that i tasted...steak tender and juicy melt in your mouth! I had a great big salad, excellent, and daughter had club sand. THEY HAVE THE YUMMIEST WARM CORNBREAD EVER WITH... More

The Chuck Wagon Dinner was great. My 10 year old son had a great time as well as my husband and I. String Bean was our drive as well as a great fiddler. Bull Head entertained us on the ride to dinner. We laughed so hard and sang great songs. If you have kids we highly recommend buying Bull Head's... More

Highly Recommend The Blue Bell Lodge. They were very helpful in getting me set-up for our family reunion. Shout-outs to Amanda, Kyle and Chad for further organizing our accommodations, activities and breakfast once we got there! Thank you so much for making this a great reunion for everyone. The Chuckwagon hayride is AWESOME! Yes, it seems a little expensive at... More

We traveled to the Black Hills in mid-June 2015 and wanted to experience staying in Custer State Park. We made a last minute reservation and all that was available was "The Commissioner's Cabin" at Blue Bell Lodge. It was 1 mile from the wildlife loop so the location was fantastic. The restaurant had a very friendly staff. But the cabin... More

We stayed at a cabin at Blue Bell. The cabin was clean and at a great location. We ate at the lodge several times because it was conveniently located at the end of a long day. However, we were very disappointed every time. The food was ok but it took a long time to get service and a VERY long... More

We were fortunate to get a cabin, when we did, because everything was booked. I didn't make any reservations in Custer, SD on our road trip. We arrived in the late afternoon and decided that we wanted to stay in Custer. We ended up in the honeymoon cabin…which was funny….we were traveling for my birthday and celebrating an early anniversary.... More
