We stayed in one of the cabins rather than the Lodge itself, but we ate MULTIPLE meals at the Blue Bell Lodge because every meal was delicious and generous! The 3 of us each ordered something different at each meal and we enjoyed it all! The cornbread is like no other...sweet and tasty, almost like cake. And the chuck wagon... More

Stayed at the basic cabins at the camp sites away from the main Lodge and store (which was still only half a mile away). Super cabins that sleep 6, shower house that was cleaned 3 times a day and QUIET at night. Normally we camp around one of the lakes in the Black Hills but wanted to do something different... More

Stayed in a log sleeping cabin for three nights. Really change rming, in a rustic way. Comes with fireplace, full bath, two burner stove, frig and microwave (though you won't want to cook much once you eat in their restaurant) We did cook in some, to save money. (Helpful, as the cabins aren't especially cheap.)The restaurant has hearty breakfasts, tasty... More

What a wonderful experience. The adults and children all loved this adventure. Beautiful wagon ride through Custer State park. Cowboy Keith was awesome and made the experience wonderful. He sang songs that we all could sing a long with and then he sang some of his own music which was absolutely beautiful. Ill never forget the song Life is Good,... More

We spent 2 nights in the Commissioners cabin and loved it. The cabin was really nice and clean. So quiet and a great area to stay. The food at the lodge was really good and everyone we met that worked there were very nice. We, 4 adults, also did the Chuckwagon dinner and really had a good time with it.... More

Not a review of the Lodge, but of the campground associated with it. We were a traveling family of five-- two adults, teen, and two 10 year olds. Novice campers-- husband and I camped as kids 30+ years ago. Son is a Boy Scout with decent camping experience. Loved Blue Bell. We had a great site-- electric hook up (helpful... More

We did not plan to give so much business to Blue Bell Lodge, it is a handy spot. The chuck wagon dinner is good, cornball fun. The chuck wagon is not the little covered wagons that stand in front of the lodge, but a big, pickup drawn wagon that seats about twenty-five on padded benches that rim the edge. We... More

We visited Custer State Park for a wedding and extended our vacation to explore. We stayed at the Blue Bell Lodge which had individual cabins. Our cabin was a Housekeeping Cabin which included two Queen beds, which was spacious and clean. It included a fire place, kitchen with a stovetop, microwave, sink, mini fridge and dishes. There was also a... More

We liked the overall property -- it is very peaceful, cool cabin exteriors, and the lodge itself is beautiful. Actual upkeep of the cabin left much to be desired. See attached pics -- bugs in lights (like, many dead moths, some still alive), mold in the shower, used plunger stored next to toilet (who still does this?). It was gross... More
