We spent 2 nights in the Commissioners cabin and loved it. The cabin was really nice and clean. So quiet and a great area to stay. The food at the lodge was really good and everyone we met that worked there were very nice. We, 4 adults, also did the Chuckwagon dinner and really had a good time with it.... More

Not a review of the Lodge, but of the campground associated with it. We were a traveling family of five-- two adults, teen, and two 10 year olds. Novice campers-- husband and I camped as kids 30+ years ago. Son is a Boy Scout with decent camping experience. Loved Blue Bell. We had a great site-- electric hook up (helpful... More

We did not plan to give so much business to Blue Bell Lodge, it is a handy spot. The chuck wagon dinner is good, cornball fun. The chuck wagon is not the little covered wagons that stand in front of the lodge, but a big, pickup drawn wagon that seats about twenty-five on padded benches that rim the edge. We... More

We visited Custer State Park for a wedding and extended our vacation to explore. We stayed at the Blue Bell Lodge which had individual cabins. Our cabin was a Housekeeping Cabin which included two Queen beds, which was spacious and clean. It included a fire place, kitchen with a stovetop, microwave, sink, mini fridge and dishes. There was also a... More

We liked the overall property -- it is very peaceful, cool cabin exteriors, and the lodge itself is beautiful. Actual upkeep of the cabin left much to be desired. See attached pics -- bugs in lights (like, many dead moths, some still alive), mold in the shower, used plunger stored next to toilet (who still does this?). It was gross... More

We stayed for 3 nights in Cabin 26; my brother, sister-in law and their two children aged 11 & 7 stayed in cabin 15. We pulled our car up to the cabin and when we got out of the car we watched a family of wild turkeys walk in front of us! There were 4 very take wild baby bunny... More

My wife and I our our 7 and 9 year olds enjoyed this outting. The people making up the group were from all over the US and we all participated in the singing and pre-dinner chatting (which is saying a bit as I usually keep to myself). Cowboy Keith was a large part of the success to the evening. He... More

We ordered lunch and ate outside on the picnic tables. What a nice pleasant break from a Custer SP / Needles road trip. Everything we ate was very good. The Chicken sandwich in particular was very good. Made from two whole breasts The turkey sandwich was also quite good. The French dip was good, too.

We were surprised to find this place in the middle of Custer State Park. We were hungry and in checking it out on Urbanspoon we went in. They immedialtey seated us in the patio area as we requested because we had our 11 year old Dachsie in a pet stroller with us. The service and food was outstanding. It was... More

We stopped here on our day ride in Custer State Park. Lots of history and charm at this place. We had apps and a cold beer sitting on the actual saddles that line the bar! GIDDY - UP LITTLE DOGGIE ...

I love it!!! The saddle stools certainly are a talking point for our little lodge. They were built by our head maintenance man Bob quite a few years ago and everyone loves getting their picture taken on them. I wonder just how many pictures have been taken over the years of those saddles. Thousands I am sure. Thanks so much... More
