My wife and I our our 7 and 9 year olds enjoyed this outting. The people making up the group were from all over the US and we all participated in the singing and pre-dinner chatting (which is saying a bit as I usually keep to myself). Cowboy Keith was a large part of the success to the evening. He... More

We ordered lunch and ate outside on the picnic tables. What a nice pleasant break from a Custer SP / Needles road trip. Everything we ate was very good. The Chicken sandwich in particular was very good. Made from two whole breasts The turkey sandwich was also quite good. The French dip was good, too.

We were surprised to find this place in the middle of Custer State Park. We were hungry and in checking it out on Urbanspoon we went in. They immedialtey seated us in the patio area as we requested because we had our 11 year old Dachsie in a pet stroller with us. The service and food was outstanding. It was... More

We stopped here on our day ride in Custer State Park. Lots of history and charm at this place. We had apps and a cold beer sitting on the actual saddles that line the bar! GIDDY - UP LITTLE DOGGIE ...

I love it!!! The saddle stools certainly are a talking point for our little lodge. They were built by our head maintenance man Bob quite a few years ago and everyone loves getting their picture taken on them. I wonder just how many pictures have been taken over the years of those saddles. Thousands I am sure. Thanks so much... More

There is some amount of historic charm here. Our cabin was one largish room with 2 queens and a bunk bed. There was a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker (over-sized for the style of hotel room coffee packets we were left -- bring your own coffee). The bathroom has been updated recently and was clean. It was nice to... More

Do not miss it! I do not know what they do but it is well done. Also ordered the stew which was tasty but not as chocked with veggies and meat as one would expect in a stew. Everyone else got the buffalo tips and here is a tip. Ordered them medium well. Much more tender and flavorful that way.... More

Fantastic review, thank you so much. The Buffalo Meatloaf has been a favorite at Blue Bell for many years. The Rabbit and Rattlesnake sausage is new this year and has been a big hit for adventurous eaters. You are right that the Buffalo tips are more tender when they are cooked a little bit longer. I am so glad you... More

We stayed in the blue bell camper cabins in May. they were clean and quiet. The staff was friendly. We are not a camping family and really appreciated that all huge cabins are located very close to the vaulted toilets and water supply. the bathrooms were quite clean and we rarely waited for the shower (although to be honest the... Thank you for your review. The camping cabins are quite nice. I am surprised to hear you did not have a good time on the Chuckwagon, it is usually the highlight of guests stay. We have had many very good reviews and our entertainers mentioned by name as being some of the best performers. We have many selections when it... More

The cabins at Blue Bell Lodge have apparently been refurbished recently. They are spotlessly clean, have a working (assumed) fireplace with glass doors, plenty of space, blackout curtains for the windows, a small yet functional kitchenette stocked with all of the necessary amenities, a small flat-screen tv which we didn't use and a deer head staring down on the room... We stayed at the Blue Bell Lodge in June of 2014. Our family of 5 stayed in one of the "sleeping cabins" and we absolutely loved it! The cabin was larger than expected with lots of space between cabins which really adds to the privacy. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. If you are coming to the Black... More

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. The sleeping cabins are newer and offer some really great amenities such as the wood burning fireplace. The Chuckwagon dinner and a horseback ride are a must and will give you a fond experience to remember. These activities are offered to anyone whether you stay at the lodge or not. We hope... More

We just returned home from a wonderful trip starting in Jackson, WY and ending at the Blue Blue Lodge. We arrived just time in for the Chuckwagon Dinner which is definitely a must. After getting outfitted with your own cowboy hat and bandana, you are assigned a wagon with about 20 others and an entertainer. If you are lucky enough,... More

We get a lot of compliments on that cabin and it's my favorite in the park. Thank you for your review. I will be sure to pass this on to Wild Rod, he will get a big kick out of it. The Chuckwagon is a unique experience and I believe we have the best there is!!! Hope to see you... More
