This was the ideal facility and location for our three day stay in the Black Hills. Check in was seamless, the rooms were large and well maintained. The breakfast meal and dining area are great as was the pool. The hot tub is a little small for the facility size. Custer is a great location for the Black Hills as... More

Went to visit Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial and Custer National Park. Stayed at this hotel which is very nicely centered in the midst of it all. Front desk was cordial, hotel is newer with nice basic accommodations. Didn't try the breakfast tho. They even have a coin washer/dryer in case you need to wash a few things. I would... More

We stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites for 3 nights. We'd stay there again and have more compliments than complaints. The only complaint I feel that needs to be brought up is the continental breakfast. The food wasn't that great and we decided against eating there the other two mornings due to the quality of the food. Very bland... More

Gary cheerfully upgraded us to a suite! We enjoyed the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and coffee when we checked in, along with two free postcards and a bottled water! The room was very clean and roomy. The beds were comfy and the room was very quiet. I would like to move in and stay! I would have liked stronger... More

This hotel has a large pool and workout room. The room was clean and the hotel was well kept. Unfortunately the internet connect was lost in the evening and didn't return until morning. Breakfast included eggs, gravy, boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this motel two nights. There was a random sound that went off somewhere in the hallway at least once per hour. We thought it was coming from the room next door, but the front desk clerk asked the people in the next room if it was from the or if they heard the sound. They reported that... More

Rooms were very nice & clean. Beds were very comfortable. Great location, easy to find. Ample parking. Great hot breakfast--bacon, eggs, biscuits, gravy & more! Fast elevators. Pretty on the outside, too--looked fairly new.

After meandering through the fog we found Custer and Comfort Inn. Check in was super fast and our room right next to elevator which was handy and no noise in our room. Breakfast crowded with families and variety very good. The helpers made sure everything was filled and plenty to choose. Job well done to the ladies.

We stayed for 5 nights in a queen suite. It was very nice. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and asked if everything was okay. A wide variety of items were offered each morning at breakfast. We like staying in Custer because of it's close proximity to the things we like to do and see in... More

After reading all the reviews about hotels in the Mt. Rushmore area, I decided to try the Comfort Inn. First, I am so happy I stayed in Custer instead of Keystone. Keystone is too touristy for me. I found Custer to be friendly and restaurant choices great. The location also is perfect if you want to drive the Wildlife Loop... More
