We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Mt. Rushmore & Crazy Horse monuments. The 1st impression was how friendly & helpful the front desk was on check in. The room was good sized & clean! The breakfasts were basic, but very good. The kids loved the pool. And the location was convenient to all the area attractions. Mt Rushmore... more

Spent 4 nights here, using Custer as a base for visiting Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devil's Tower, Custer State Park, Wind Cave N.P., etc. Excellent hotel, looks like the newest building in town; most other hotels look dated. Plenty of parking, set quite a way back from the highway, quiet, good value. Outstanding, friendly staff, dealt with several people for... more

We spent three nights at this Comfort Inn & Suites in Custer. Check-in was a breeze & we were given warm, fresh chocolate-chip cookies. The front desk staff were always helpful in answering our questions & giving tips. Keep in mind we were here prior to their “busy season” which, from what I understand, begins after Memorial Day. The wireless... more

We chose the Comfort Inn & Suites in Custer for our four night stay after reading several favorable reviews on-line. Bedding is a big deal for us seniors and we experienced the comfort in Comfort Inn! The property and our room were always clean (and fresh smelling), our room was large with generous counterspace, inviting atmosphere, the staff was friendly... more

This was yet another hotel in the girls' road trip over Labor Day 2008. We stayed here after a long day at both Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument. It is located on the main road in Custer. It's easy to find and pretty close to the Mt. Rushmore tourist complex. The hotel shares a driveway with the newer looking... more

After traveling across Wyoming, we got to Custer and decided to check rates at this Comfort Inn, (I stayed here 2yrs ago, so I knew it was a nice place) The Front Desk guy gave us a room facing the back so we could wach the wild life come down out of the hills at dusk.. Asked the guy at... more

We stayed at the Comfort Inn at the beginning of August and were glad to book in as many hotels in the area were full for the period even when we first enquired in March - we'd picked the weekend when the annual Sturgis bike meeting was on. We stayed for 2 nights, using it as a base to visit... more

We have four kids aged 4-10. We spent 4 nights here in a family suite that has 2 Q beds and a Q pull-out couch. The room was spacious and clean. On the third night, we bought our dinner at the groc. store and cooked in the microwave. There's also a fridge and little sink, plus a table and 2... more

There are cheaper places to stay in the Mt. Rushmore area, especially in crowded Keystone, but a slight step up in price gets you a lot more at this motel. Rooms are very large and more tasteful than usual in a chain motel. I read some of the previous reviewers' complaints, but for us, everything was clean, comfortable, and quiet.... more

Our family included 3 teens and 2 adults. Stayed in the suite that had 2 queen beds and 1 queen pull-out couch. Room was very comfortable and so were the beds and pillows. It was a longer room then you usually find when you stay in a standard hotel room. Included a 'small livingroom' where the couch was. Included small... more
