a great find! not quite off the beaten path but clearly a quieter place to stay in NOLA that is a good base of operations. The street car stop is right across the street, and the fabulous Magazine Street is just four blocks away! Very very nice staff, clean rooms, better than average lobby breakfast. Staying on the St Charles... More

This hotel will strike you first with its smell. The rate charged is beyond any value for money calculation. The lumbering/shuddering elevator is the next trial you have to endure. Pay close to attention to the lack of security cameras in the hallways and elevator, too. My shower stall flooded the bathroom each use. Callers were disconnected and had to... More

Hampton Garden District NOLA fair to moderate. We encountered backed up bathroom vanity sinks upon arrival. Did get moved on day 2 of 5 nit=ght stay. Original room also overlooked extensive rusting HVAC array on roof of adjoining Best Western. This place needs a small bar at least. Breakfast fair, but limited healthy, e.g., fruit selections. Decent location, but I... More

I recently spent the weekend here for my niece's wedding. We had 15 rooms blocked, plus there were two additional wedding parties staying here. It was just lovely. We had the king bed plus sofa bed and both were extremely comfortable. The free breakfast was way above average and the afternoon "tea" was most helpful. The staff was superior, even... More

I thought this hotel was very nice. Different than other hampton inn's I had stayed in the past. I stayed for two nights. The beds are comfortable. The only actual negative thing I encountered was the TV didn't work. However, the engineer just shook it and it worked. Whatever works I suppose! The bed was comfortable and the ac was... More

The Hampton Inn St Charles St provided a comfortable experience. The staff was eager to please, the lobby was large, bright and provided a great atmosphere for leisurely breakfasts and afternoon snacks. The room was clean and in keeping with the price point and my previous experiences in Hampton Inns. In New Orleans, hotels outside of the 4-5 star level... More

Finally! I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It had character and charm, with all the expected amenities that Hampton provides. The front staff was always friendly and helpful, and my room was always clean. Can't ask for much more than that! I'd be happy to stay there again anytime.

Beds extremely uncomfortable. I could literally feel bedsprings in my back. The staff was not friendly. Our service upon check-in was poor. The woman at the desk was frazzled and kept waiting on other customers as she attempted to check us in to the hotel. I also missed the fitness center I am used to seeing at a Hampton Inn.

Great location in a good neighborhood. Street car access right outside the hotel, can be in the French Quarter in 15 minutes by street car. Front staff extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby is charming and very clean. Would stay here again!

While a very convenient location for viewing Mardi Gras parades on St. Charles Avenue, the hotel news renovation and redecoration. I didn't expect fancy, but it needs help. The front desk staff is obliging and helpful, breakfast is very good and included in the room price and the location is excellent for viewing Mardi Gras parades or visiting the colleges.... More
