I loved staying here. The building looks like it used to be some old warehouse so the walls are concrete block and there's ducts running through the ceilings. It's a pretty far piece from the airport but what are you gonna do? We didn't rent a car so we had to take a cab. Our room was small but cozy... More

I'm not sure if the young woman helping us was new or nervous but the check in was slow and she tried to charge me for the room when my colleague had just signed for it. This is a boutique type hotel so the rooms are small but they have character. Wooden floor in my room was cool but very... More

In all honesty, I wasn't exactly expecting great things from the other reviews on this website. However, we were booking for Mardi Gras and our options were limited. I was merely hoping for a somewhat clean place to crash at the end of the day, but was greatly impressed by what we ended up with. The beds were comfy, the... More

I happened upon this hotel by chance when my other hotel was overbooked. The room was nice and spacious with wooden floors and very clean. The staff was great in accommodating me. I usually stay in the big name hotels but this was a great change of scenery. The staff at the front desk was awesome.

My husband and I went to New Orleans for my birthday, stayed for 5 days. Price was excellent, and Bourbon Street, Royal, and French Quarters are walking distance, but far away enough to get out of the crowd. We booked a "Queen Deluxe", which when we arrived, I kind of expected what first interested me about the place from pics... More

New Orleans was awesome, but what really made it was the people who helped me when I had so much trouble with flights being cancelled, changed and rescheduled. Many thanks to Angelle at front desk who got me breakfast before 6am as I had to get to the airport. She made my morning. Thanks to Chrisin for early morning directions... More

There was a convention and festival in town for the nights of our vacation in New Orleans and we had a tough time finding a hotel room for March 1st and 2nd, 2013. When we checked in to the Ambassador, the room we were assigned had a glass door to the corridor. As we went through the sitting area to... More

We were assigned to a room in which there is no window, the floor is so old and smelly, and the whole structures of the hotel rooms are just not very solid. We could hear very clearly the noise of people walking in the room upstairs or downstairs and the noise was actually very annoying. The sound insulation of the... More

I made a reservation at the Ambassador despite reading a few negative reviews. I'm so glad that I did! I planned to only be in New Orleans for one night for a quick visit with my son who is attending college at Loyola University. With this in mind, I figured I could 'stand' a room without a window or some... More
