A bit of a late review but my friends and I stayed at the Ambassador for Mardi Gras. The location is actually really good. It's only about a 10min walk to the French Quarter but the parades actually pass in front of the hotel. It's a good location if you want to stay away from the madness of the French... More

It was hot in New Orleans so coming back to a well air conditioned room was very much welcomed. Make sure you set your thermostat before leaving the room. The ambience of the place is cozy and well kept. Keeping some of the old with the new--awesome! Loved the decor in and out of the room. It's an old warehouse.... More

Arrived at hotel, tried to stay optimistic about the weekend. Hotel staff isn't unfriendly, not friendly, just middling I suppose. Walked into room, extremely underwhelmed. Yes it's an older building, and yes I understood it would be a unique room since the building was transformed from a coffee warehouse. Didn't expect the dirty, poorly-maintained experience we had. Noise from the... More

I apologize if we didn't deliver the experience you were expecting, Trey. We are in an older building as you know, and we're currently working on some updates to improve your overall experience here. Still, I'll keep your feedback in mind as we move forward. I hope you enjoyed the fun area we're located in. Sincerely, Richie Aquilar - GM More

I booked a room at the Ambasador online months ago and forwarded the confirmation email to my boyfriend. My boyfriend and I had broken up later but he still had that email. They let him check into my hotel room by showing that email without checking any ID and his name was not on the reservation in any way. When... More

It's great to hear that you liked your stay with us -- thanks so much for taking time to leave this review. I'm concerned about your comment regarding the cleanliness of the room though. We clean regularly to make sure everything is in tip-top shape when you arrive. It sounds like something got looked over by the staff, and I'll... More

It has a lot of history there. It was in walking distance of the French Quarters so that was nice. The breakfast as very good! Parking will cost you $30. Didn't see that coming, but I still felt it was a good location. It's just down the road from the Port of New Orleans if you are going on a... More

Staff were friendly and helpful. But, hotel and room did not exactly have the old coffee warehouse charm I thought it would. However, hotel was under renovations, had to use "temporary" lobby. Walls/doors were thin in room which made for noisy stay. Room wasn't as clean as I would've liked. Mold in bathroom - no vent. Will most likely try... More

I'm happy that the staff was so helpful during your stay, but I'm disappointed we didn't quite live up to your expectations. I used to stay here frequently about 8 years ago, so it had been a while when we chose to stay here again. It was nothing like it used to be! It was gross, creepy, and had horrible customer service. I was absolutely appalled at what this place had become. It was so bad that my fiancé and I left... More

I'm so sorry to hear that we lost your trust as a guest -- that's never something we want to hear. As you know, we are located in an older building, which I think adds to the charm and boutique quality of our hotel. Still, we would never want you to feel uncomfortable here or like our service was lacking.... More
