As you can see from the location, you're not in the HEART of everything, but if you don't mind a walk (and you could use it after some of the delicious food...), this location is perfect. We had a unique room that didn't have windows. That was ok, we only used it to sleep anyway. If you're driving in, realize... More

I WOULD stay here again. (Long review) Room 201 was nicely renovated, clean as well as some historic charm left. The staff was extremely friendly. Continental breakfast was exactly what you would expect and fresh. The hotel is under renovation, and while the first impression view at the front desk was not great, I had absolutely no issues with my... More

I sincerely want to give this hotel a better than average rating. Had I known about their MAJOR renovations, I would not have stayed here. The staff, however, deserves a SUPERIOR rating. Everyone that I encountered was friendly and willing to go out of their way for me. The rooms are spacious. There is a little construction dust everywhere, though.... More

Thank you so much for sharing the kind words about our team. I certainly share enthusiasm for their great work and I look forward to sharing your comments with them. My apologies about the dust and construction nuisance. While we all very excited about the beginning of this new era in the hotel's history, I do understand the inconveniences it... More

Unique hotel on Tchoupitoulas Street (had fun just learning how to pronounce it, with all due respect to the native Americans who first inhabited the area) in the area where the products transported up and down the river were stored. Great location proximal to the River Walk, casino and French Quarter. Interior renovations still on-going, but the management has isolated... More

For the last 3 years, my wife and I have stayed at the Ambassador Hotel for our anniversary staycation. We've stayed at other hotels downtown in previous years, including the Ritz-Carlton. While I'm not saying it's the Ritz-Carlton, for a 1/3 of the price it is by far a better value. The exposed brick, hardwood floors and high ceilings give... More

My wife and I read the reviews written by other people who express their feeling about the hotel. We paid our money in advance because this was the first time we traveled with a group so we were a little apprehensive as to what to expect. The hotel was under construction, when we got to the hotel that night we... More

Things have been a little different around here due to the renovations, but I couldn't be happier that you and your husband had such a nice stay. This sort of feedback is always great, especially from seasoned travelers like yourselves. The River Walk and Bourbon Street are both great excursions, and you had the right idea stopping in at the... More

We were skeptical due to the reviews, but we booked 2 rooms here anyway, and our family really liked it! When we first pulled up, we loved the New Orleans-style exterior. When we first walked in, the hotel didn't smell very good and it took forever to check-in. There was not even a line, but the man behind the counter... More

Loved loved loved our stay here. We came to Nola with no car and chose this hotel bc it was central to everything we wanted to visit and we were willing to walk. Staff was great. They offered great restaurant reviews and told us about some cool spots we didn't know about. Our room was great. Comfy beds and all.... More

Alright. I really, really wanted to like this hotel. I read all of the traveler reviews and, against my better judgment, decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. I will begin with the pros. The hotel is located a couple of minutes' walk from ANYTHING that you might want to do. You are literally across the street from... More

I'm glad everyone was friendly and accommodating, Lily, but I'm disappointed to hear about the experience in your room. We appreciate your feedback, and luckily, renovations should be completed soon. It's good to know that Patrick was able to help you out, and I sincerely hope you'll come back and give us another chance. All the best, Steve Hoida -... More
