I traveled to New Orleans this past weekend with my husband and friends. We found the hotel online and made the reservation based on the price and the location. It was easy to find and the check in process was easy. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is under renovations and because of this it... More

This hotel was in a very good location if you are there to explore the city. We were also able to park the car when we arrived around 9:30 a.m. & drop off our bags and go out for the day which made everything run so smoothly! With that being said - I wouldn't suggest this particular hotel for a... More

We've stayed here twice and loved how different both rooms were. Staff is very friendly. Gym is decent for a quick workout. Continental breakfast was fine. Our favorite thing was that in our first room we had tall brick walls, carpet and a very cozy queen bed. Our second stay we had hardwood floors and a very spacious room with... More

This was my boyfriend & I first time staying at The Ambassador Hotel New Orleans for Mardi Gras. The location is great and the rate was aforadable. There was no need to drive anywhere. We were walking distance to everything and the hotel was on the parade route, so just more awesome! There is renovation being done so you will... More

My friends and I were guests at the hotel during Mardi Gras. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the most friendly staff (seriously, I'm not sugar coating, everyone that works here is super nice). Check in was a breeze, valet took care of our bags & the car (I highly recommend utilizing the hotels valet if you are there during... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night in January 2015. The hotel is located in a beautiful old warehouse style historic building that used to be a coffee warehouse and chandlery. The hotel was undergoing renovation to prepare it for a re-branding as 'The Old No 77 Hotel And Chandlery' so there was construction going on at the time.... More

My friends and I came down for our first Mardi Gras and stayed at The Ambassador. The location was phenomenal! We were on the parade route which allowed us to watch some things from our window and just a short walk to the French Quarter. Also right across the street from Harrahs for more fun. The staff was really nice... More

Let me first be honest with the positives, When I arrived, the valet was very pleasent. I knew it was Mardi Gras so I expected everything to run slow and be packed. That part is understandable. The hotel itself is undergoing rennovations. So the lobby and some other areas definitely look like they need a makeover, but the rooms were... More

Kaitlin W My apologies for the delay in getting back you. When you called the first time and asked for the manager, we should have solved your problem immediately. The front office manager did get your voice mail left on Saturday night and responded to you by phone on Monday morning. Additionally, I received your email on Sunday morning and... More

The lobby at this hotel gives a bad first impression. The furniture and carpeting is very old and dirty. The beds are comfortable, TVs are nice, and wifi works well. The hotel is confusing to navigate and staff instructions did not really help. All but one of the front desk clerks were friendly. Unfortunately, I got the rude one at... More

tjust28 Thank you for the review. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the hotel as much as we would have hoped. Perhaps should your travel plans return you to New Orleans you can come by and check out our finished product - our post renovation rooms and lobby and restaurant will definitely leave a much more favorable impression. I've followed up... More

Got a great rate and it was great relation to convention center as well as Harrahs. Connecting restaraunt was under construction but no big deal. Bacchus and Orpheus passed directly in front of hotel. Emerils and many other restaraunts within walking distance

DisneyTiger So glad you enjoyed Mardi Gras with us. We are so lucky to have gotten ring side seats to two of the great parades - the Krewes of Bacchus and Orpheus. Come see us again for Mardi Gras 2016! John More
