We stayed here for an amazing price, which warrants the above average rating. The lobby was under renovation so we checked in in a tiny room with no decorations. There was usually a line to speak to the front desk. The hotel room itself was nice with a window, but the window overlooked a tiny courtyard and it barely produced... More

Very, super convenient!!! Near the casino, 4- 5 blocks to the French Quarter; Mother's Restaurant is on the corner across the street. OK room no furnishings, i.e. paintings on the wall, no character. Riverwalk shopping mall is 3- 4 blocks away. All in all, not bad; the people make it better.

Hollie C Thank you for the review! We have just completed our renovation of the guest rooms and will be installing really amazing art in the next few weeks. We are partnering with a local art school and will be using student art, reproduced for all of our rooms. I hope that upon your return to New Orleans you'll have... More

My wife and I checked in to the hotel with no problems. They must be under construction in the lobby, because it was not what I would expect from a hotel lobby (we saw a huge cockroach on the wall, but that was luckily the only one), it was dirty and cramped. I am also pretty sure the breakfast nook... More

Brent H Thank you for the review. We are in fact under construction and will be debuting our new lobby later in the Spring. Our breakfast operation has been a little cramped due to this, and I apologize for the condition. I've shared your comments with the housekeeping and engineering department so that we can correct the deficiencies your noted.... More

I traveled to New Orleans this past weekend with my husband and friends. We found the hotel online and made the reservation based on the price and the location. It was easy to find and the check in process was easy. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is under renovations and because of this it... More

hestian0326 Thank you for the review! We are nearing the end of our renovation and will be debuting our new lobby later in the Spring - I hope you have the opportunity to come see again when we are not operating out of our temporary space. Part of that lobby renovation finish will be the signage for our maze of... More

This hotel was in a very good location if you are there to explore the city. We were also able to park the car when we arrived around 9:30 a.m. & drop off our bags and go out for the day which made everything run so smoothly! With that being said - I wouldn't suggest this particular hotel for a... More

We've stayed here twice and loved how different both rooms were. Staff is very friendly. Gym is decent for a quick workout. Continental breakfast was fine. Our favorite thing was that in our first room we had tall brick walls, carpet and a very cozy queen bed. Our second stay we had hardwood floors and a very spacious room with... More

This was my boyfriend & I first time staying at The Ambassador Hotel New Orleans for Mardi Gras. The location is great and the rate was aforadable. There was no need to drive anywhere. We were walking distance to everything and the hotel was on the parade route, so just more awesome! There is renovation being done so you will... More

My friends and I were guests at the hotel during Mardi Gras. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the most friendly staff (seriously, I'm not sugar coating, everyone that works here is super nice). Check in was a breeze, valet took care of our bags & the car (I highly recommend utilizing the hotels valet if you are there during... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night in January 2015. The hotel is located in a beautiful old warehouse style historic building that used to be a coffee warehouse and chandlery. The hotel was undergoing renovation to prepare it for a re-branding as 'The Old No 77 Hotel And Chandlery' so there was construction going on at the time.... More

My friends and I came down for our first Mardi Gras and stayed at The Ambassador. The location was phenomenal! We were on the parade route which allowed us to watch some things from our window and just a short walk to the French Quarter. Also right across the street from Harrahs for more fun. The staff was really nice... More
