The hotel was nice and cute. I really like the rooms because it was very different from the usual hotel. I would stay there again when traveling to New Orleans. It is in a great location to go to the Casino, Superdome, or French Quarters. There is a paid parking lot directly across the street from the hotel. There were... more

Stayed three nights at the Ambassador and had a great time. This is an old hotel with a lot of character, wood floors, high ceilings rodiron beds. The staff was very helpful and a great location for a bargin price. The French Quarter, Riverfront Mall, Harrahs Casino, Jackson Square are all just a short walk away. If you are looking... more

Went for a long weekend and the hotel was well worth the money paid. Good location...only about a 10-15 minute walk from the French Quarter. Surrounded by nice little restaurants and other unique locales in New Orleans. Very close to the WWII museum also. more

Our stay at the Ambassador was a gift for my boyfriend and my anniversary. From the website it looked great, New Orleans style decor, and close to everything we needed to get to. Good access to the Canal streetcar which was very handy for getting around. We got to the lobby where there was no one to help us with... more

Kellogs Kid and I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel from October 16 to 23, 2009, and he posted his review a few days ago. I feel compelled to write this review in fairness to the Hotel manager David Smith. This is the story of the bad, the good and the ugly: THE BAD: In addition to what the kid has... more

we stayed at the ambassador for 1 week in oct 2009. the pictures from the website are in no way representative of the real hotel. this is clearly a one star hotel (not 3 as is described). the room was very disappointing. there were cockroaches running on the bathroom walls. there were more roaches in the closet. we actually took... more

The Ambassdor Hotel in New Orleans is one that I honestly cannot think of anyone that would benefit from staying there. It is an old historic building, very cool with the exposed bricks and wood floors. However, the rooms were a big disappointment. The wooden floors were disgustingly dirty. The bed was comfortable, the sheets clean. But the pillows were... more

The Ambassador Hotel New Orleans is a great location and the hotel has so much potential; however the hotel management is not taking advantage of it. Our first interaction with the hotel was the valet, we don’t mind paying for parking or giving a gratuity for parking our vehicle, but the valet didn’t even make an attempt to assist with... more

When I booked my stay at the Ambassador Hotel it was based on their rates. I had no other criteria, but figured it couldn't consist of much since it wasn't very expensive. I was staying for a week, so I couldn't spend much on a room. When I opened the door to my room, I saw a spacious room with... more
