Be careful if the Ambassador Hotel totaled my car now they don't want to pay for the difference that the insurance paid for. left lost of messages on there phone they will not return any phone calls, even attorney says this is one of the worst hotels to stay in New Orleans. Locked out of my room once and locked... More

We were able to book this hotel for $60/night (including taxes) + $10/night mandatory fee charged upon check-in allegedly for breakfast, internet and gym. The total was $70 per night. Compare to all other hotels in the area it was a fantastic deal. Even though I agree with many other reviewers that $10 fee is just a way to make... More

I'm happy you enjoyed your stay here overall, Yulia, and I really appreciate the candid feedback. I apologize if our renovations were distracting in any way, but they should be complete sometime later this fall. Would love the chance to welcome you back again when all our new updates are in place. Thank you again for leaving this review. All... More

Stayed here Labor Day Weekend. Got a GREAT rate thru Groupon, so I'm not as upset about the hotel as others. But it is in bad shape right now. There is construction going on...I'm not sure on what though. The staff was fine, no problems with check in, other than my room not being ready until 4PM. The location is... More

I'm glad you snagged a good deal on Groupon, but it's a bummer to hear you didn't love your stay with us. We are currently under construction to update the hotel overall, and that's scheduled to finish up later this fall. I apologize if it was a problem during your visit, but I'd love to welcome you back when it's... More

When my wife and I cruise out of New Orleans we will go down a few days early and enjoy all that this beautiful city has to offer. We had stayed at the Ambassador before and it was quite nice. That is not the case anymore. It was sold and the new owner is horrible! The bellboy told me “I... More

I really hate hearing that we lost your trust. Regardless of what changes we're going through, it's never okay for the staff to be rude or careless. I appreciate your feedback, and will be talking to the whole team about this. We are going through construction right now, unfortunately, but it's slated to be finished in the late fall. I'd... More

I recently stayed at the Ambassador hotel to celebrate my birthday with family and friends. Big mistake choosing this hotel! We checked in the late morning of 8/28. The lady that checked us in obviously had a really horrible attitude and made us feel like we were a problem, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! That was not was ok! Once we arrived to... More

Please know that it's never okay with me for a staff member to be rude at any point of your stay. When you come in, you're right -- you should be greeted with a smile and taken care of right away. It sounds like we missed the mark on that, and I apologize. As for your room door, let me... More

I am currently stay at the Ambassador Hotel, or more like the nastiest hotel I've even been too. I have been to New Orleans several times and there are much cleanlier hotels for a much better price. The room look nothing like the pictures and out doesn't even have a window, it's more like a prison cell. Floor are extremely... More

I'm sorry to hear that you were expecting something different than what we delivered during your stay. We are housed inside an older building, and each room is unique in it's design. That lends to the quaintness and charm of our hotel, we like to think. That said, I apologize for the confusion with the maintenance and the housekeeping. We... More

I never like hearing that we let you down, so it's disappointing to read this feedback. As you know, we're in an older building and are under construction. Each room is unique in what it offers, and I apologize if we didn't deliver what you were expecting. I'll touch base with the staff to make sure we're being as clear... More

A bit of a late review but my friends and I stayed at the Ambassador for Mardi Gras. The location is actually really good. It's only about a 10min walk to the French Quarter but the parades actually pass in front of the hotel. It's a good location if you want to stay away from the madness of the French... More

Though I'm happy to see you appreciate our location, Amy, I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with the accommodations. A lot of guests appreciate the historic charm of our hotel, but as you can probably understand, an older place inevitably comes with it's quirks. Having said that, I'd like to let you know that we began renovations this past... More

It was hot in New Orleans so coming back to a well air conditioned room was very much welcomed. Make sure you set your thermostat before leaving the room. The ambience of the place is cozy and well kept. Keeping some of the old with the new--awesome! Loved the decor in and out of the room. It's an old warehouse.... More

I just love hearing how much you enjoyed your time with us, Dara! We want to be a relaxing oasis in the city for you, and it sounds like that's what you found here. Arrived at hotel, tried to stay optimistic about the weekend. Hotel staff isn't unfriendly, not friendly, just middling I suppose. Walked into room, extremely underwhelmed. Yes it's an older building, and yes I understood it would be a unique room since the building was transformed from a coffee warehouse. Didn't expect the dirty, poorly-maintained experience we had. Noise from the... More

I apologize if we didn't deliver the experience you were expecting, Trey. We are in an older building as you know, and we're currently working on some updates to improve your overall experience here. Still, I'll keep your feedback in mind as we move forward. I hope you enjoyed the fun area we're located in. Sincerely, Richie Aquilar - GM More
