We chose the property for the location near Tulane, but would never go again. We encountered the first 3 inch long roach in our bathroom shortly after arrival. We killed that one and hoped that would take care of the issue. However, at 5 AM my daughter was stunned awake by roaches crawling on her face. We both got up... more

The rooms were okay...for their originally quoted price. Unfortunately, I arrived late and exhausted (after a day of standby flights) and did not notice (nor did they point out) that they had increased the rates from those quoted over the phone and on their website. At checkout, I finally got a small discount but the whole process left me feeling... more

This was a mistake I won't make again. As mentioned by others, the location is the draw, but the house has serious issues with deferred maintenance and is understaffed. Ask to see your room before you plunk down any money. Check the heat and hot water situation. The $135 a night room I was assigned had a tub (no shower)... more

We stayed here during our second house-hunting expedition to New Orleans (we're moving in June). Our first time, we stayed at a Hilton - which was outstanding - but wanted to try a local establishment this go 'round. What a mistake! The location is outstanding, but that's all this place has going for it. We stayed here three nights and... more

The downside first: This place could use some serious maintenance. There are leaky faucets, sagging floors, and peeling paint, none of which should shock veteran B&B patrons. It's not the Marriott. It's a 100 year old>>unrestored<< mansion across the street from Audubon Park, Tulane, and Loyola, right on the St. Charles Ave bus/trolley line. We visited Tulane (our purpose),... more

My wife and I booked a room herebecause it is close to Tulane University, where we were visiting a relative. We requested their best room with a king size bed, etc. A few hours after checking in we learned that there was no hot water. The person on duty knew nothing, and was not willing to do anything. we asked... more

Absolutely the rudest hotel staff that I have ever encountered! Rooms are small and poorly decorated. Bathroom unclean. Check out time was at 11 am, which is ridiculous for a hotel in New Orleans, and the cleaning staff started banging down the door to rush us out at 10 am. But they did not just stay outside to check, they... more

Don't be fooled by the exterior of this inn overlooking Audubon Park in New Orleans. I wish I had taken the other reviews to heart before I booked here. My room was on the third floor (no elevator). My bed was propped up on cinder blocks and it slanted so badly that the only fix they could come up with... more

i just returned from my annual december visit, to post-katrina new orleans. my nights were spent at the above referenced guest house, which i enjoyed very much. like many properties, in new orleans, they had roof and water damage and are presently short of help. the staff was very pleasant and helpful. the place was clean and well taken care... more

With a location as nice as they have I guess they've decided they can forgo the idea that a hotel is about customer service and making things nice for guests. The staff was openly hostile. In a city known for hospitality you have much better choices than this. more
