Our company booked me there for a two night stay along with about thirty other company employees for the Clean Show in June 2009. The positives: - Consistent Residence Inn experience with friendly staff at check in and room decor and furnishings. I was able to check in early around 1 PM which greatly benefited my schedule. - Good breakfast... more

Reading the reviews, I guess we had lowered our expectations. We find ourselves in the Big Easy often (thankfully). We feel this was the best choice. It is a quieter part of town and very handy to the Convention Center. Adds maybe 5 minutes walk time to the other hotels. Service was great and always a friendly greeting from the... more

OK, the good thing is the room is large - we had a two bedroom. The bad news is the room smells bad and is outdated - thank God we were there for a convention that had some air freshener samples to give out. There are no windows that open but the windows are noticeably drafty. Also, the toilet in... more

The two bedroom suite had a great lay-out. The hotel was generally quiet and quite clean. It could certainly do with a little updating - the kitchen and bathrooms were adequate but dated. The staff was always courteous, helpful, professional and present. We had only positive encounters with all staff members during our week long stay. It's an easy walk... more

This hotel had a very helpful and courteous staff, a generous complimentary breakfast, a free open bar and hors d'oeuvres on week nights, and a great pool and hot tub. Most importantly, the affordable Marriott hotel was well-located within this very walkable city. The negatives were that some of the rooms seem a bit worn by Marriott standards, the some... more

First, you can get this hotel a lot cheaper than the published rates if you bid it on Priceline. Lets start with the good....very clean rooms, very nice exercise area, very good breakfast. A computer center with two computers, which I thought was handy. Now, lets start with the negatives...the hotel is in what is called the Warehouse District. The... more

WOW! Where do I start? I stayed in the Residence Inn and find the staff and their attitudes toward their guests to be reprehensible. There is a lady named Tonya at the front desk who should stay home on most days because she appears to be very unhappy with herself and only smiles when the General Manager is on site.... more

I don't know where all the negative reviews are coming from. I have stayed here myself and have had friends stay here as far back as 2005 and as recently as last week. The rooms are spacious and clean. Never had a problem with cleanliness. The two bedroom suites are very large. Full kitchens are nice to have to store... more

This hotel is a dump. I don't know were to start. This hotel has outside access to rooms, no security. Even though the room was non smoking, I could hardly breathe. It smelled so bad. The bathroom was so moldy and the chairs were covered in stains. I had a room with a full kitchen and was scared to open... more

If you are looking for a quiet, spacious, and clean hotel; this is it. Great place to stay all the way around. Great ammenities and helpful staff. The location is a long walk from Bourbon Street and the French Quarter District; but there are plenty of cabs at all hours. This is also a pet friendly hotel. more
