I also visited over Wrestlemania weekend with a friend. I had also read the bad reviews but I wanted to make sure that the record was put straight as its not as bad as made out. I agree you would not take your partner here for a romantic weekend but for a base to be in the centre of New... More

Got here rather late and was rather lucky to get a room at all as the "French Quarter Festival" started the following day. (Different story to be told on Tripadviser) We were greeted by this really nice man who sorted out the parking. He was really friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We got room 306 situated... More

I visited during the Wrestlemania 30 weekend. I stayed in a double room with 3 of my friends. I was apprehensive to book as I had seen some horror reviews but honestly I'm glad I ignored them. Yes I agree that the staff could do with learning a little more English. When you are checking in and somebody cannot properly... More

We stayed here for three nights in March while doing some sightseeing in the French Quarter. Overall, this hotel has a fantastic location and is perfect for low-maintenance travelers who are spending most of their time out and around the city. It was the cheapest hotel we could find just outside the French Quarter and was significantly less expensive than... More

This is absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Literally stay any place but here. The second night I was so itchy (bugs?) It smells, is filthy, everything is broken and the people who work here are some of the least considerate people I've ever met. I stayed here with my family the weekend of 3/22/14 and the place... We are still waiting to speak to the manager/owner "Jay" regarding our 1st night out of our 2 night stay. He is a coward and will not come out and speak to us and rectify the problems. Checked into today to a 1 bed room, reserved a room with 2 beds....moved to a room with 2 beds after arguing with... More

At check-in we were given the wrong room upon return to the desk we were put in another room that was occupied When we finally got in to the right room one lamp didn't work and there was a cigarette butt on the floor - yes we booked a smoking room but... Stayed here for 3 days during mardi gras, it was close to the french quarter and a few other restaurants were close by. The parking was expensive even for guests of the hotel but when asking around, all the hotels did the same thing. The room was nice, hotel was quiet and the staff was friendly. I had no complaints... Just stayed over the weekend to enjoy Mardi Gras. So that explains the hotel being crowded and pricey. But there is no excuse for the staff being rude and the maids leaving only two towels for three people. Every single day we were there (3 nights) we had to call and request more towels. When we checked in and when... More

We booked at the O'Keef, despite reading the numerous poor reviews, because it was a late booking and most other places were booked out. If, like us, you do not heed the reviews and stay there, you will be treated to extremely noisy rooms (both external and internal noise), the smallest bathrooms I have ever encountered, and the rudest staff... The small rooms are considered standard rooms. Our deluxe rooms are twice the size of a standard room. As for the staff being rude, we are giving them more training in hospitality. Our security team could have taken care of the noise problem. We do apologize for the inconvenience of your stay with us. More
