This hotel is very charming. Its a 5 min walk to Burbon St and a 5 min walk to the French Market. Its location is great. The rooms were spacious, clean and the bed was comfy. The pool is a little small but thats ok. Every morning they delivered the best croissants Ive ever had with coffee or juice. We... More

I booked the ST. James hotel for my birthday trip to New Orleans. My stay was very pleasant which made it very enjoyable. The location was perfect and just a short walk to fine dining, shopping and Bourbon street! The highlight of my stay was when the front desk receptionist Arial sang me Happy Birthday! Besides that she went out... More

The staff is so friendly and accommodating that they make this hotel one of the best as far as service that I've ever stayed in. The price is right, the location is convenient (a couple of blocks off Canal), although the rooms are fairly small. The in-room, complimentary continental breakfast is nice and you pick the delivery time. The enclosed... More

This was a great hotel that is very close to the French Quarter but not right in it. We had a King Suite and it was great. Good size with its own terrace. Loved the good quality Bath & Body Works toiletries and the breakfast brought to our room each morning. Yes, it is just a croissant and coffee but... More

This hotel is in a great location. I stayed 4 nights at this hotel with a friend & it was our first time visiting New Orleans. It was easily within walking distance of the French quarter, Harrah's, Jackson square & other great hot spots in the city. The front desk was always friendly & willing to assist us with any... More

Checked last night after many hours of flights and delays. Burton was as pleasant and attentive as could possibly be, and seemed genuinely happy to have me as a guest. Offered ice water and asked if I needed anything else. Eased the travel pains. I was upgraded to a King Suite (nice perk of being a Choice Hotels Diamond member),... More

We stayed as a group of four 21/22 year old Australian girls for 3 nights in July 2014. Absolutely fantastic hotel which we cannot fault - staff were all so lovely and helpful (they even kindly offered to dry our laundry following a failed attempt at letting our washed clothes dry in our room). Great location, room amenities were all... More

The service at the St James Hotel is excellent from the reception at the front desk at check in to the morning coffee and croissants delivered by Greg in the morning. Greg has a wonderful demeanor and is a welcoming face to see first thing as you start an exciting day in New Orleans. With St James great location all... More

Stayed here 5 days. This is a historical property within walking distance of most areas. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Meghan was most helpful, from calling ahead for us to her great dinner recommendations. A small breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. Elevator was down one day.

We were in town for a conference at the convention center. Very convenient location, within walking distance of the convention center and other New Orleans attractions. Parking was across the street and expensive, but that's to be expected. The hotel itself is in a couple old buildings, with lots of charm and character. It needs a good cleaning, though. When...
