I'm a stickler for clean rooms and a friendly staff and that's exactly what we got at the St. James Hotel. The front desk was able to make some wonderful restaurant recommendations (Cafe Soule and Cafe Du Monde) and even loaned us an umbrella! You are within walking distance to lots of great restaurants. The rooms were very clean and... More

This building was built in the late 1800's and is quaint in architecture. It has been updated but there is only so much that can be done. Modern bathroom with sink in the room and no counter space or place to hang a towel. A towel ring would do wonders. Room was a decent size and well decorated. They deliver... More

Great place to stay and great location. Our room was at the end of the hall in 2nd building 1st floor. Very quite, clean and very nice we had a semi private patio it was shared only with two other rooms. The pool is very small only big enough for 4 people to relax and get wet, but lets face it... More

We chose the St. James due to its old style charm and close proximity to Canal street and Decatur street. Close enough to all the tourist destinations yet far enough where you can get some rest! Very warm welcome from the front desk. We arrived before check in time and they were able to accommodate us, even in the middle... More

St James New Orleans Small two building hotel which, but for hallways, is dated, stained and in need of maintenance/refurbishing; last remodeled in 1999, but it appears longer than that; when we arrived at 2:30, the hallways were still cluttered with service trays probably from the complementary coffee provided; one person at reception also acting as the concierge; no bell... Cheryl, Burton, and Greg made it a wonderful feel and atmosphere for me and my significant. I love the people and how they welcomed me. Again, thank you. I can't express how much this place had open arms to invite me into such a wonderful establishment. You were all great. Service is perfection.

We chose to stay at the St. James due to it's old style charm and allure, and close proximity to all the sites and attractions, This hotel was located in the warehouse district, but only 2 blocks from Canal street and Decatur street. The hotel was built in the 1700's and per the hotel clerk is admittedly haunted. What attracted... More

This hotel was a great buy. The front desk was wonderfully nice and helpful, every day going out of there way to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The rooms were nice, spacious, and had a bit of New Orleans flavor to them. The lobby was nice and there is a very pretty courtyard where we spent many evenings... More
