I recently returned from a trip to the wonderful city of New Orleans. I stayed in the Garden District as I wanted to be near my son who lives nearby. From the moment I checked into the hotel I was made to feel so welcome by all the staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. My room was up-graded... more

I stayed here for tulane graduation and i could not have been happier. The staff was so nice and the rooms were beautiful. The location is amazing it is in the garden district about half a mile from tulane and about a mile to the quarter, but it feels shorter because the streetcar takes you anywhere you want to go.... more

We are locals who go to New Orleans every year for Mardi Gras and prefer to stay in hotels rather than drive back & forth. The staff, especially, Ken Jenkins, Geoff Taylor, and Lauren Langenstein, treated us with the utmost courtesy and respect. The rooms are very large, well decorated, and the beds are oh.so. comfortable. It is very nice... more

We spent a night here midweek during Spring Break. Rooms are clean. Couch is small and uncomfortable. Beds are decent, although a bed with two rooms has only doubles. Desk was very nice upon arriving. Area is a sketchy area, one block in either direction, os St. Charles. more

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while in New Orleans for a friend's wedding. We booked at the last minute. We were a little concerned about the poor reviews it had on this site. However, those must have been written before they had renovated! Everything in the rooms is new and nice, carpet, furniture, etc. We were on... more

Thank you for your glowing review of the Grand Boutique Hotel. We are glad your stay with us was a memorable one. Yes we get many compliments about our double pillow topped mattresses! The parking is eighteen dollars a day, but this is about 5-10 dollars less than our competitors. Though you can find parking on the street, we suggest...

My stay at the Clarion was wonderful. The room was very large, and very comfortable. The location was excellent, about a mile or so from the heart of The French Quarter. Street Cars run right across the street. To the west you have Uptown and the Garden District. The staff was very courteous and the breakfast was very good. The... more

Having spent a long time looking through various reviews of various hotels in New Orleans, I decided on the Grand Boutique as it seemed to have a good specificataion and was not as expensive as many other hotels that were nearer the French Quarter. What a mistake choosing the CGB was! It is about 2 miles from the centre of... more

I was attending a business convention in town so I wasn't there alot. Convient location on the trolley line.Large nice room and yes the walls are thin but ear plugs fixed that. I didn't eat the breakfast there I went across the street for a hearty breakfast. A little pricey and definintly not for a family. more

Beware of "Boutique" label! Loose, vinyl bathroom wallpaper, loud "Hotel 6-type" a/c units, extremely loud housekeeping personnel very early in the A.M.; paper-thin walls (could hear neighbor snoring). 70's/80's "contemporary" decor--all that's missing is a disco ball. You can certainly do much better for less money. Parking is valet-style with a fee, and your car is parked near the overflowing... more

This hotel is pretty spartan but it's a great value for what we paid. There's a continental breakfast to fill up on and the streetcar goes right in front of the place down to Canal Street. The staff was a couple of hot chicks who I felt went the extra mile to take care of our specific needs.Stay here if you... more
