I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to new orleans. It is about 300 ft to Bourbon street. Centrally located. We walked every where we wanted to go From French quater market, convention center, casino and superdome. We booked a suite an it was wonderfull. Had a kitchen, nice huge room with balcony, From the balcony you could sit... more

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, and while it wasn't the best hotel we ever stayed in, it was far from the worst. Our room was in the "600 building", and we had to pass through the parking garage to get to our room. As others have mentioned, this hotel is only 1 block from Bourbon Street, but... more

Hotel St. Marie has consistently been my choice for frequent, 2 or 3 nights stays dealing with insurance matters in post-Katrina New Orleans. Why? Comfortable. No nickel & diming guests with the internet or breakfast surcharges. More importantly, it's comfortable because the staff is stable, remembers you and, unbelievably, acts happy to see me every time I check in. They... more

Hotel St. Marie has the very BEST location in the quarter. I have stayed at numerous large and small hotels and I loved this one! The staff is excellent! They went far above and beyond for us. The daytime front desk manager was so accomodating and pleasant. She was always cheerful and professional. I highly recommend this hotel for professional... more

We chose this hotel because of the fact it was in the French Quarter and because it had a pool and continental breakfast. First off, the pool was awful -- very cloudy and had debris floating in it. My daughter was so excited about swimming in it, but after 20 minutes I made her get out because I was grossed... more

This hotel was chosen for us through Priceline and we couldn't have been happier. We paid only $80 per nite and we stayed 2 nites. It's an older hotel full of charm. There's a pool in a very relaxing garden out back. Many of the rooms have balconies. We loved its' location in the French Quarter. You're close to everything,... more

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and thought it was quite charming and was really impressed with the hotel's staff, not so much the front desk but the housekeppers and maintenance staff. Especially the young man working the parking lot. Your car is very safe in their private parking lot. The breakfast was fine, freshly sqeezed OJ and delicious... more

This was our first trip to New Orleans & the French Quarter, so I did a lot of research on hotels. After reading the reviews of the "St. Marie", I decided to go ahead and book it. Either I have very high expectations, or the other travelers were given a room better than ours. There were some (a few) "good... more

Hotel was very picturesque and comforting. Staff was very friendly and hotel was very clean with a great location in the French Quarter and very close to Bourbon Street without having to pay the prices of the hotel directly across the street which was almost double in price. The only complaint i had was unavoidable; our room was very close... more

I had read good things about this place, and had to stay in the French Quarter because I had never been to New Orleans. I was a little disappointed because of a few things: 1. The hotel aesthetic was not for me - sort of French/Victorian, with lots of old-looking floral stuff. It just looked old and not very clean.... more
