For a large hotel of nearly 500 rooms, the rooms and level attention to the handsome facilities and to housekeeping were a nice surprise. Room 3133, a generously large deluxe double, faced the attractive courtyard and was nicely furnished, everything in good order and very well maintained. In the mornings there was some minor noise of water supply lines running... More

Thanks for the feedback on your September stay at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. While we’re glad that you enjoyed the quiet tranquility, we’re disappointed that our Front Office & Lobby Doorman did not meet your expectations. Please know that this is not our regular feedback of our doormen and front desk team, and we will review this feedback with them.... More

I had a wonderful stafy at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans. It has an excellent location and wonderful staff. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. If I ever return to New Orleans I will stay there.

I have stayed at the Sonesta a number of times over the last few years. The staff is great and seems to have little turnover which suggests a good working experience. We stayed in a corner suite on Bourbon Street. It had two separate bedrooms and a very large parlor with a bar and plenty of comfortable seating. The french... More

We've been to New Orleans a few times, and didn't pass up the chance to take advantage of a mid-week special at the Royal Sonesta. The location is perfect - right in the middle of the French Quarter. But maybe the best thing was walking off of Bourbon Street after an evening of merriment into this quiet, classic hotel. The... More

Our room was very comfortable, bed was comfortable. Fresh, real rose in the bathroom, with excellent products. Nice flat screen TV (although it did not have all the channels listed on the guide). We had a room on the 6th floor away from Bourbon Street so it was a very quiet nice retreat from the activity of the French Quarter... More

I stayed here late September, 2012 on a "Spring Fling" I booked months ago. My room was small but tastefully appointed. However, there were no windows to open, I could not adjust the air-conditioning, and the sink was plugged up. Although I requested maintenance to fix the A/C, they had not shown up by 8 PM, and I was tired,... More

I travel to New Orleans several times a year. I previously stayed at a very nice hotel on St. Louis Street as I always thought the Royal Sonesta was beyond my means. I found out that it was priced about the same as my prior hotel. I was ecstatic. Royal Sonesta has it all. From great location to amenities and... More

Great location, exceptional employees, nice pool area with bar. Rooms were very nice, we were on the third floor facing street, same floor as pool very convenient if you smoke. Others we were with had balcony rooms so fun to watch Bourbon street. Restaurant "Desire" on premise outside. Great Food. No coffee maker in room, however Pjs coffee cafe down... More

Its another large hotel with lots of brown. The food is OK, the drinks are expensive. The rooms are noisy - no not from Bourbon St if you stay off it, just noisy so you can hear everything next door and every toilet flush. I would stay out of Bourbon Street next time, but this was a conference. Bourbon Street... More

We were on a fall trip last week to NOLA and stayed at the Royal Sonesta. The location can not be beat. Our rooms were on the small side but were quiet and comfortable.Housekeeping does a good job, although we were short a couple glasses and washcloths a couple days.People seemed friendly and lots of weddings going on the weekend. It would be nice...
