We've spent the past 4 days at various exhibits for "Tales of the Cocktails". We went to a few tastings and a lecture at the Royal Sonesta. The hotel staff were completely on top of things, very helpful, polite, and professional. The last two events we went to "Journey to La Primavera" and "The most innovative tequila products" were well... More

This is my favorite hotel in all of New Orleans. I have been to Nola five times. Usually we stay in the business district believing (mistakenly) that we would be away from the night noise of the Quarter. My husband and I had a beautiful room on a side street and it was very peaceful. Even though we were there... More

Thank you for choosing the Royal Sonesta for your St. Patrick’s Day trip! We strive to make all of our guests feel special and it appears that we were successful in making this vacation memorable for you and your husband. We do apologize that the elevators were slow. We do have two different sets of elevators for guests, but during... More

My son and I stayed here at the end of May for a mother-son trip. We were originally staying at the Monteleone, but I purchased a $149 LivingSocial voucher and immediately called to make reservations. The voucher included our room (did not include tax on the room), bottle of champagne, $10 voucher to Desire, $5 voucher for PJs and $10... More

The location is perfect. Bourbon Street is right out the front door and easy walking distance to the French Quarter/Jackson Square, Frenchman Street, the Cathedral, etc. The hotel is nice but the rooms/pool could use a facelift. The pool area has a nice courtyard with an outdoor bar (drinks are pricey). We stayed in a King room which was adequate... More

Arrived here on a Thursday after two long connecting flights and a Tom-Tom guided drive in from NOLA airport. Like arriving at an endless ongoing party - streets barricaded off, revelers strutting their stuff - gals in cowboy hats, boots and little else, corpulent guys gravel-voiced someway south of Nick Nolte. Hey, Nawlins man! So something of a surprise to... More

Thank you for your very eloquent review. We are so pleased that you found sanctuary from the commotion of the streets at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. When searching for jazz music in the French Quarter you should not have to look further than Irvin Mayfield’s Jazz Playhouse in the lobby of our hotel. Their nightly jazz performances are unmatched on... More

If you want to be in the heart of New Orleans Bourbon Street, this is a great place to stay. The hotel is lovely and very clean. The staff is friendly. The room was very comfortable. It's within walking distance to many sights and is right on Bourbon Street. I have stayed their twice and would return.

You can't beat the location of the Royal Sonesta in New Orleans' French Quarter. Located on the upper end of Bourbon Street it's not in the loudest section of the Quarter, so it's a good location for small conferences as well as families that might have worries about some aspects of Bourbon Street. We were there for three nights and... More

If you stay here you know why, the location in the French Quarter. The hotel public spaces and restaurants are decorated ornately and kept clean and clutter free. This helps during high volume times and festivals. The hotel provides security to help keep some of the lower aspects from Bourbon Street out. The only issue comes when you get to... More

We recently spent one night at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. We found the hotel itself to be very nice, the staff friendly, and our room very comfortable.
