I went for a convention and wanted something close to the convention center as well as the French quarter. This was perfect because I did not rent a car and the money saved for that was put into staying here. My room view was of the river with an unobstructed view of the French quarter and Jackson Square. I enjoyed... More

The location is really good and the bed was very comfortable. The contemporary room decor is beautiful. The service was great at both check in and check out. Only complaint is my room was right next to the elevator and I heard everything! If your room is near the elevator you may want to ask to be moved.

Great location, wonderful views all the way around! We had a river view and so relaxing to watch activities on the river! Food great but close to Bon Ton, August, and so many other great places t eat. Easy walk to the quarter too. Stay here if you got the dough.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in New Orleans. This hotel is in a great location. It's within walking distance to the fun at Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. But it's far enough away from the noise of Bourbon Street when you are ready to call it a night. The hotel is right on the river so... More

We took a gamble and did the "Name Your Own Price" on Priceline, we got the room for $100 plus tax ($123). Typically rooms go for $209 plus tax on a Friday night. We were put in a room with a king sized bed with a gorgeous view of the Mississippi River. The room is fairly contemporary, very clean and... More

Overall, no major complaints. Service at the front desk was very good. One restaurant which is over-priced and looks to be a little under-quality (I don't know for sure, but I bought a couple of muffins and they were not good). There is a mall underneath the hotel w/a small food court, but much better places to eat down the... More

Stayed at the Westin for 14 nights. It's a standard corporate style hotel which is what I was looking for. Entry can be slightly disconcerting when you arrive late at night, you arrive in the downstairs lift lobby and there are no signs instructing you to go to the 11th floor to check in. The reception lobby itself is two... More

Nice room looking over the Mississippi river. Room was large and clean, and bed was very comfortable and shower...as good as it gets (a double shower head...no kidding). A little off the beaten path, but really nice.

Had a 3 night stay here over Christmas, paid $86 on an advance purchase rate. As others have stated, this hotel has a commanding location for seeing the sights in New Orleans. It is located basically at the foot of the French Quarter. On check in, we were upgraded to the "suite" floor (29th), giving us a spacious 2-room suite... More
