Our ample room had four HUGE windows adorned by floor to ceiling, gold tasseled silk-looking curtains swayed back by old brass drapery hooks. Three large flags swayed outside our view as well as old rusty fire escapes attached to the building across the narrow street. Two enormous, double, carved, wooden, four poster beds with old spring mattresses separated by one... More

Premises are fair good ,but upon our arrival they give us a room with a smoke smell , they did change us to a better room now the dial is whenever somebody smoke the smell, transfer to the AC ventilation system so pretty much the entire hotel smells like it, poor cleaning that is a fact and very noise due... We only stayed one night. The room had no windows as it was in the back of a historical building. This turned out to be a good thing as we could not hear any of the merry makers in the street. The room was decorated with antique furniture but had all the modern amenities, a tv and frig and the... More

This Hotel is part of history and is why we chose to stay here instead of chain hotel. Very Short walk to Burboun St and in the heart of everything else. Parades went past our window non-stop and we just loved it! Wonderful Front dest staff! Very knowledgeable and they really took care of us from A-Z. The room was... More

Location near the French Quarter is perfect to visit! Service by the manager - Thomas - has been VERY nice and friendly, thanks to him ! We spent 3 weeks at the hotel, he put a fridge in our room, give us very useful advices and was always very open and obliging for every question, printing some emails, etc. Room... More

This place was nice! Very clean, friendly and the staff were always nice to us! The hotel was beautiful! The rooms had high ceilings, very tall windows and the brick walls along our wall was very quaint! I don't know what this building was prior to being a hotel but the renovations were very well done! Great location with easy... More

The pros: It was a great deal—reasonably priced. The front desk staff were all very friendly, especially Troy. The room was clean and was a good size. Like other reviewers mentioned, they do play jazz music in the lobby all the time; unlike what some reviewers said, it did not bother me any at night (with the door closed, I... More

Older hotel with a great location. Just a block off canal street and another block to French quarter. Harrahs casino one block, plenty of shopping and restaurants very close. One block to an excellent convenience store and half block to awesome breakfast, lunch place the ruby slipper. The tv in my room didn't work, but they moved me right away. Air... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at this location for four days. We both had an excellent time and enjoyed the area. The hotel had very classic styling with rooms that were small but very nice accoutrements. The staff was excellent and Troy, at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful to us in setting up tours, food and nightlife... More

This hotel really was nothing special. The rooms were very small, on one side of the bed we couldn't even get out of the bed. The lobby was nice and the staff was friendly. The one thing that was really bugging me was the music that kept playing in the halls loud enough to hear from your room. The room... More
