Convenient location, comfortable but small rooms. It's close to the trolley and main street with various attractions and shopping. more

Fancy lobby, fancy beds, fancy curtains, fancy staff, fancy bar and restaurants. Small standard rooms with limited vanity space. Wasn't too noisy between rooms but you could hear in rooms as you walked down the hall. Older TV's, we had problems with the remote, not that your in NOLA to watch TV but... Rooftop pool is pretty cool, added bonus... more

We stayed in a gorgeous king suite. Well appointed with fabulously high ceilings! Bathroom kind of small but that's not why we come to the Big Easy. Steps from Bourbon Street but none of the noise. Have a drink in the carousel bar. It spins slowly and is kind of cool. more

One of the most beautiful hotels you wil ever stay in. Lobby, service, Carousel Lounge, location all perfect. Rooms rather small, but not uncomfortably so. Beds and sheets wonderfully cozy. However, I would advise to request an interior room if you value sleep while you are in the French Quarter. I was unable to sleep for two nights because of... more

This is an historic (i.e. old) hotel, but rooms appear recently and lovingly refurbished. Great location just far enough from the madding crowd but close enough to walk to everything. Front-desk staff were wonderful. When noise from a guerilla street band threatened to ruin our sleep (literally), they 1) got police to disband them and 2) happily moved us to... more

We celebrated a birthday in New Orleans the first weekend in October, 2009 and stayed at the Hotel Monteleone for 3 nights. It had been recommended to us by friends who had stayed there several times before. We'd both been to NOLA several times before, but we won't ever stay anywhere else again! The service was wonderful (we had iced... more

Hotel Monteleone was a great hotel. The room was very nice and the service was excellent! You couldn't ask for a better location in the French Quarter. We were right in the middle of everything, yet it was very quiet. I never heard any outside noise or any inside noise either. We went for my husband's 50th birthday and I mentioned... more

This was my second trip staying at the Hotel Monteleone and was just as pleased this recent stay as I was on my stay there two years ago. The concierge is very helpful and entertaining woman, and the front desk staff are ever so professional and smiling. This hotel is close to Bourbon street, yet quiet and clean. I was... more

I have stayed here for well over 40 years, since I was a child. Great memories. The entire hotel has been updated and is elegant and classy. The location in the French Quarter is perfect. The Carousel Bar is a must experience. Service was outstanding. more
