I am a seasoned international traveler for both business and pleasure and I have *never* experienced anything near the egregious customer service that I received at this hotel. My greatest shock was that the managerial staff were exceedingly uncooperative and hostile, while other employees seemed fine and actually embarrassed by their behavior. It is unfortunate that my experience was so... more

I am currently at the Hotel Monteleone as I write this. It is late Sunday afternoon (4:00) and I am trying to send a business package. I have been downstairs THREE TIMES trying to find a bellman (because apparently they're the only ones who can send packages) to send this for me. This last time I waited 20 minutes and... more

Enjoyed a 4 night stay at the end of May. Second time as a guest of the Hotel Monteleone and have always found it to be a grand property and in a PERFECT location...just steps from Bourbon Street and the great little shops on Royal Street. Nice, fresh looking room with an air-conditioner that could really cool down the place;... more

We stayed in the Moneleone last January and was very disappointed, the staff was sooo rude and the rooms are not what you see on the internet. The room was so small. We go to New Orleans at least once a year, have stayed just about everywhere down in the French Quarter, sorry to say we will never stay at... more

My girlfriend and I checked in on July 1st and out on July 5th for the Essence Music Festival 2009. This was our 3rd stay in New Orleans, but 1st at Monteleone Hotel. I am a very faithful and loyal Trip Advisor contributor and user, but I sometimes wonder about the reviews written. I'm a New Yorker from birth and... more

The Montleone was an excellent choice since it was near the place where my business meeting took place and was also near the French Quarter and other New Orleans attractions. The price was very affordable, and the service of the staff was outstanding. The only minor complaints are no free internet and small rooms. The small rooms are to be... more

I went with my husband and 20 year old daughter for a semi business pleasure trip. From the moment we stepped into the lobby we knew we had picked a good one. The front desk let us check in early and fortunately they had a room ready for us despite our change in room accomodations (going from 2 to 3... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights. My extended family also stayed here as my cousin was having her wedding reception here as well. We had a rate of $129 per night for a standard King room. All in all, we were very happy here. The room is small, as we knew from reading reviews. We understood this... more

We chose the Hotel Monteleone for a recent trip based on a friend’s suggestion, and we were not disappointed. We had never been to New Orleans, and the hotel was one of the most pleasant, memorable aspects of our trip. We arrived an hour early, and our room was ready, so we were able to check in. The desk clerk,... more

I just stayed at the Monteleone for 4 nights. I had booked a regular King room, but upon reading about some very small rooms on TripAdvisor, I called the hotel and they kindly upgraded me to a Preferred King with a river view upon check-in. Even this room wasn't large by any means, but it was very pleasant and more... more
