We had an excellent experience in this comfortable, quaint hotel. The king-size, four poster bed was very comfortable and having a suite with lounge and wet bar made our five nights here like coming home after a busy day of sightseeing. Dwayne gave us a great orientation upon our arrival, explaining the streetcar system and the "lay of the land."... More

When my husband and I were traveling from Texas to Alabama, we decided to stop in New Orleans on short notice. We decided to stay at the Lafayette Hotel, which was said to be animal friendly. When we arrived, Dwayne met us at the front desk and checked us in and inquired about our dog. As we brought in our... More

This hotel is a little gem in New Orleans. The suite we had was spacious and gorgeous. The Hotel staff were helpful, friendly and caring about our time in New Orleans. The location is excellent...walking distance to the museums in the warehouse area and also the French Quarter. I am extremely picky about where I stay and this little jewel... More

I wanted to like this hotel. I read the reviews based our decision to stay there off of them. The staff was really nice the problem was with our room. What others consider charming I consider old and in need of renovation. The bed was lumpy and I took alot of advil for back pain. The coffee maker was in... More

My husband and I wanted to have a weekend get-a-way and stay in the city. We chose the Lafayette Hotel for our stay. The hotel is very clean, cozy, and within walking distance from local attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In the mornings, the man behind the front desk gave us so advice on things that were... More

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and had a great time. Great value for money. The room was huge and so charming. Real old fashion New Orleans style. The staff kindly delivered complimentary champagne as we were there to celebrate our anniversary. Staff is so nice and especially Kerry -the front office manager is such a pleasant and sweet... More

Being on St Charles oppo the Federal Reserve and 2 blocks from Poydras gives the Lafayette a great start and the building itself is a charmer, though the rooms are a bit dated. The bathrooms are tired, and some of the stuff they have done is just amateurish, like putting the wrong toilet seats on the toilet. You have to... More

The price of this hotel was so low and got such good reviews that I had to book it. Couldn't believe the price for the location. Awesome! Right next door is Lafayette Park and they were having a seafood festival while we were there so it was perfect. The man at the front desk was so helpful and personable, and... More

The hotel is centrally located and on the street car line making it convient to the French Quarter without the price of the Quarter. The hotel is old and worn but this is New Orleans after all. Also, the staff was friendly and accomodating which made up for any shortcoming and being summer, the air conditioning was outstanding!

My husband and I traveled to New Orleans for our 25th wedding anniversary. We have never been to NO LA before. Kerry (mgr?) was very nice and helpful. We felt like we were at home with people we knew! The first night we ate at Mike's on the Ave at the hotel and we throughly enjoyed our meals. The female... More
