Excellent accommodations in an old world atmosphere. Bed is very comfortable. Rooms are clean. Entire staff is attentive. Bar is fun. Continental breakfast is just OK but there are lots of options within easy walking distance. for me, this is the best place to stay in the French Quarter. I am a Quarter Rat and FQF is a staycation for... More

We stayed at the Hotel Provincial for spring break last week. The hotel was clean, charming and in an excellent location. We could see the Mississippi River from our window and hear the steamboat whistles as the boats went by. The staff was excellent - very friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed the lobby bar and the 2 pools were... More

We stayed two nights at the Hotel Provincial. We knew nothing of the hotel, but it was chosen by Gate 1 Travel, with whom we had booked a tour. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel was charming and the beds were comfortable. The location was terrific; only a short walk to Jackson Square. They have a lovely courtyard, and... More

Hotel Provincial was everything I had hoped it would be! The location was perfect...easy to locate and so close to everything "French Quarter". Our room was very clean and very quiet!! Hotel staff was always friendly and helpful in every way they could be. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed for the FQF. Very well-run hotel with excellent service. I had a pretty queen-bedded room facing Chartres. I especially appreciated the spacious, gleaming bathroom. I thought this was the best continental breakfast I've had... Don't know why people under-rate it. There is actual protein---hard boiled eggs with sea salt and fresh pepper and yogurt provided along with cereal, pastries,... More

Stayed here three days in April. It is a very nice boutique type hotel very conviently situated in the French Quarter. Easy walk to the action on Bourbon street and a block from Cafe Du Monde for a famous beignet. The hotel itself is older but if you want modern why would you go to the French Quarter. That said,... Brought 20 relatives in to the Provincial for French Quarter Fest and had a ball. As usual the staff was great, New Orleans was berserk, and my cousins who had never had a New Orleans experience went home every intention of coming back as soon as possible. The new restaurant, Angeline, is very good, but not really a classic N.O.... More

The location was perfect! We chose this location because of the proximity to the trolley lines, but then we were so close to everything that we just walked. There are several buildings, each with its own courtyard, so there was a very intimate feeling. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. We plan on staying here again.

A quaint hotel right in the heart of the french quarter. Our visit there was in February . So, the weather was not the best, but, the courtyard was still beautiful. The rooms were around the courtyard which had a nice water fountain with tables and chairs around it. Very nice for having coffee in the morning or a glass... More

I stayed in the Hotel Provincial from April 2nd-6th, 2015. Every staff member I interacted with was polite, professional and accommodating. The first night I had a premium room near the pool, but it was too noisy for me--both the sounds from people enjoying the pool right outside my door, and the music/conversation from the people in the room next...
