We live North of the city but make a trip one, or two times a year. This was our first time staying at this Hotel as we like to change it up each time we visit. VERY nice experience, everything was perfect

Excellent service, rooms very clean, food was very good in the restaurant. Very convenient for parking and location within the French Quarter. Walking distance to Jackson Square was comfortable. Rooms were quiet, WiFi available.

What a lovely hotel. Our room was above the restaurant Angeline. We had a beautiful balcony fronting Chartres, which is the route the horse drawn carriages take. So charming hearing the clip-clop coming down the road. The large room was furnished with beautiful antiques, but the bath was very modern. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is close... More

The hotel offers a quiet escape from the bustle of the french quarter without giving up the convience of remaining a short walk from most things. Rooms are small but tastefull with nice art and prints gracing the walls and one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. Bathroom is cramped but clean and updated. The pool and courtyard... Room was small but everything we needed was there. Front desk was nice when checking in but dismissive when checking out car keys were thrown at me when checking out. Had to find valet myself (who worked hard to get me my car. Also housekeeping was very loud and talking/yelling to each other in the morning, waking us up. They... More

Wonderful old hotel that is well maintained and has all of the amenities you'd expect. This hotel has character in droves. From the public areas and the layout, to the rooms and decor. You really get the historical, distinctly New Orleans experience. Although the hotel is very old, the rooms are clean and the bathrooms updated to the standards of... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Provincial. Everyone was very friendly and the room was very clean. We also had an excellent meal at the adjacent restaurant. It's located in a great area of the French Quarter, a simple walk to anything that you are looking for.

We were led to believe that we would be getting a room with two queen beds instead we were given a room with two doubles and hardly room to move. I would recommend call to male sure what kind of room you are getting for the amount you are being charged. I feel for what we got, it was way... More

Staff was very friendly, the room was beautiful and very clean. The patio area was relaxing and the hotel itself was in a great location. This is where I will stay when I come back to the area. Bar made great drinks.

This was a quick overnight stay. We were happy when a room was available last minute for a quick getaway. We always stay at the Provincial because of the location, friendly staff and cleanliness. Our stay was wonderful from the moment we pulled in the driveway. The longtime staff always extends a warm cheerful greeting. The front desk staff is... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
