My husband and I stayed at the mansion April 1-3, and I only have good things to say about our stay. Upon arrival, the employee on shift was extremely helpful and also offered touristic advice. His name is Devon. He was extremely helpful along professional and articulate. The only complaint I have is that our original room's ac was not... More

We booked our Honeymoon, 2 weeks before our wedding, a little late planners. My first experience booking through travelocity. Feb 18th-22 2014, it was amazing. Perfectly located in the French Quarter, but just enough out of the way for a quiet nights rest, the pool is beautiful, too cold for our time of year, but still cleaned daily, and pretty... More

We have just stayed in as opulent and enjoyable a place as we ever will, The Melrose Mansion. We were granted the pleasure of residing, (I say "residing" versus "staying" due to the fact that we genuinely felt as if we were staying in a friend's home, instead of spending a couple of nights in a hotel) in the Donecio... Great room, great staff, great value, great location The property is beautiful and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this property. This is our new place to stay in New Orleans.

Of the roughly 30 trips that I've taken to New Orleans, Melrose Mansion represents a new low in both value for the money and management. As other reviews have noted, the property has issues with plumbing. On our first morning, our toilet wouldn't flush, which can put a bit of a damper on Valentine's Day romance. To be fair, this... My wife and I loved the hotel. It is close to everything. The staff is really helpful, the rooms were modern and clean. The rooms are very contemporary. This a great boutique hotel. They do serve wine and cheese for the guest in the afternoon and continental breakfast.

Located between the Quarter and Frenchman Street, the Melrose Mansion provides an ideal place to stay when visiting New Orleans - 3 blocks from Frenchman St and right on the edge of the French Quarter. The pool is great. The room walls are a little thin but we were never in the room all that much anyway. Rooms were clean... More

Both my husband and I work in corporate hotels in a very busy tourist destination, we are extremely picky about hotel rooms and service. That being said, Melrose Mansion went above and beyond our expectations. Brian at the front desk was amazing, I would hire him in a heartbeat. You can tell he loves his property and loves his job....
