The guest house is located at the very edge of French Quarter, between Royal and Chartres streets and right next to Frenchmen. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but very clean and well maintained. The building is old, looks rickety, and has no elevators. The street that the guest house is on is not... More

I found Lamothe House online and booked it for the location and price. It turned out to be a great find. On the west edge of the Quarter, it's next to Frenchman's Street where most of the music has moved from Bourbon. Right around the corner from the French Market, Cafe du Monde and Jackson Square, it was an easy... More

You have to temporarily park outside the hotel and check in. They will issue you a key to unlock the gate around the color to park your car for $20 per night. However, it's a quick walk to the back gate which led me to my room. It's not near the French Quarter, but it's in walking distance. I didn't... More

I haven't been to New Orleans for over 20 years. I first went when I was on college break in 1983 and had the great opportunity to stay at the original Lamothe House. At that time it was just the 1 main building with the rooms surrounding the courtyard. I stayed in a small, but comfortably furnished, room with lots of... More

I stayed in the Separate house (rear quarters) of the Lamothe which are technically right across Kerlerec St. Just around the corner from many of the music clubs on Frenchman; yet somehow buffered and noise was not an issue at all. I stay in a different spot every year for Jazz Fest and this may have been my favorite. Cleaning... More

We stayed here during a 3 day stay during Jazz Fest. The hotel is quiet and located within the French Quarter. Two blocks away from Bourbon St. and a 20 minute walk to the action. Good luck with street parking but the hotel has a private lot for $20 a day. Reception is on the 2nd floor and was speedy.... More

This is a lovely property that is ideally suited to the areas I visit when in town. The staff is most pleasant and accommodating. The room (408) was large and in a separate building which I enjoyed. I look forward to my next visit.

Great location near Frenchman St. Plenty of close late night food and drink options. Classy, clean room with modern fixtures. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking ks $20 per night which is par for the course in the Quarter.

I have been staying at La Mothe House for years and love it here. The main house is historic and has all the charm of old New Orleans. The location is beyond perfect tucked between the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. The pool is lovely and in a gorgeous courtyard and it is quiet and chill. Rooms are all different... More

This is an old house and annex on the Eastern edge of the French Quarter. The annex is in the next street, but can offer 2 rooms with a porch onto Kerlerec Street. Access is thru the hotel and past the pool. Everything here is top quality. Minuses are some of the rooms are quite small, but hey, who stays... More
