4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013 NEW

Spent one night here of a 4 night stay in New Orleans. This place is very conveniently located in the French Quarter and was a nice change of pace from the chain hotel where we spent the first 3 days. This is an older hotel and our room was small but adequate for sleeping and bathing. Compared to what we... More

We had 3 nights in this hotel on a room only basis. About 100 yards away is a great coffee shop called The Vacherie so don't bother paying for over priced hotel breakfasts if you stay here! It's close enough to Bourbon St to visit it (once is enough, it's pretty tacky now, looks like a venue for hen and... More

We asked for a early check in when we made our reservation, but we were not accommodated. I had to place three separate phone calls to front desk relative to the construction noise. Construction started at 8am, which is ridiculous for a late night city like New Orleans. We were never advised by the staff that there would be construction... More

My husband and I stayed in room 415. The room with a view of Bourbon street, (which we paid extra for) turned out to be a room with a tiny window over looking the alley to the rear of the hotel. The room was nothing special, at all. It could have been a room in a Best Western or Howard... More

Thank you so much for staying with us towanda324. I am sorry that you were disappointed during your recent visit. We always strive to exceed our guests’ expectations and I regret that we failed in this instance. We offer and advertise French Quarter or Courtyard views. We do not advertise Bourbon Street views as we are located two blocks from... More

Despite rooms that were nothing special, exorbinant prices ($3.00 for a banana?), and so-so treatment by the staff, I was still prepared to give Maisin DuPuy 4 stars. That was until we arrived in our room and discovered there was an active construction site directly above us. Between the hours of 10am-6pm your room will be filled with the sounds... More

Cancemini4: I completely understand your comments about the construction noise this past weekend and moving forward with our next part of our renovation we will be more sensitive to the needs of our guests and will do a better job of informing every one of the potential noise and disruptions. We appreciate your understanding and your review. Steve Ferran General... More

Very nice stay at this French Quarter Hotel. We had a balconey on the 3rd floor that overlook Toulouse Street and New Orelans skyscape. Had some good times in the court yard on some down time walking to the action of Bourbon to Jackson square and the Missisippi river . The rooms were nice, beds comfortable and we enjoyed the... More

Great location, only 2 blocks from Bourbon St(which is plenty close if you like to sleep) Rooms are a bit small, especially because we booked a "Deluxe King". Beds were very comfortable! AC was a little iffy...turned down to 60 every night just to stay cool. Biggest negative is the price for Breakfast! Continental Breakfast Bar was 13$ for cereal and... More

We stayed here for 4 nights during jazz fest. When we arrived around midnight, they said there wasn't a room for us, even though we had spoken to the manager 6 hours earlier and she had said there were plenty of rooms! But after a few minutes a room was found and that was it. Our room was clean, a... More

Stayed here 4 nights in early April. From the moment we arrived we were helped by the staff for an easy check in. Our room was advertised as a deluxe king having a French Quarter View (which it did), but was not worth anything as it looked out on some decrepit buildings. The room however, was very comfortable, excellent bed,... More

We booked this hotel stay almost 4 months in advance as we are here for Jazz Fest. We are traveling with another couple. When I booked the rooms back in early January, I specifically requested 2 King bed balcony rooms, with a street view, immediately adjacent to one another. I was ASSURED this would be taken care of, if I... More
