We stayed at the Maison DuPuy for five days in October 2008 after my sister recommended it (she and her hubby honeymooned there). We had a lovely time. It was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see, but far enough off the beaten path to be quiet at night. We like a good night's sleep. We enjoyed the... more

June 09 had two night weekend stay! It was just what it claimed to be and the stay was great! Close enough to walk to French Quarter area hot spots but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing! Great courtyard and Pool/Spa area. Parking was half off and two free drinks booked through Amex. Room Service was fast and... more

Stayed there in August after reading dozens of reviews from all the sites about New Orleans hotels. This was the one place that was highly rated on all sites. Booked through Travelocity. They gave us a discount on parking and two free drinks. We didn't eat at the hotel. We even brought food home from dinner since we had a... more

I don't quite understand the bad reviews for this hotel... I stayed here for a weekend and quite enjoyed it. The truth is I wish I had spent more time in my room to enjoy its comforts because I mostly was out and about trying to soak up New Orleans. I picked this hotel because it's in the French Quarter,... more

If you kept the drapes drawn and you didn't see the architecture of New Orleans' French Quarter outside, you would think this was just another old motel in need of renovation. The place was clean, but there just wasn't anything to make me say I wanted to come back. The staff was friendly. Valet parking is in the hotel's garage.... more

After reading the reviews I was skeptical, but we were staying during the week and made sure there wasn't a wedding taking place for the days we booked. On the way to New Orleans my husband called and requested an upgrade to either a smoking room or a balcony and they gave us a free upgrade to a balcony room... more

Will never consider this hotel again. Considering the reasonable price, I wasn't expecting 5-star service, but I do expect basic respect. The head parking attendant was extremely rude. I heard from other guests that they experienced the same thing. I saw one guest almost get into a fist fight with him. The management couldn't care less. Our complaints fell on... more

I decided to stay at the Maison Dupuy after reading the mixed reviews here because I was able to get a bargain rate per night. It is, after all, the off-season in New Orleans: hot and humid. It is easy, now that I have stayed there, to understand why the mixed feelings on this hotel. Firstly, the emphasis here, particularly... more

We stayed with a large group of friends at the Maison DuPuy for three nights in June. This was our second visit and they were just as fabulous the second time. The weather was humid and hot, typical of Nawlins in the summer time. The Maison DuPuy was a cool oasis. With the largest pool and courtyard area in the... more

Hi: Just got back from a 3 night stay. The Hotel looked just like their site. We have stayed in places where the accommations didn't look like the picture. When we got there, we were greeted by very helpful stafff. The room was small but I knew that since the pict showed it the same way. We got a courtyard... more
