This is the type of hotel where they serve you breakfast in bed, and would gladly feed it to you if desired. We love absolutely everything about this hotel! I keep pictures of it on my phone to show people how fabulous it is! It is no wonder why Tennessee Williams, Bob Dylan, Elizabeth Taylor, and many more are deeply... more

Pros This a nice, quaint hotel. The staff was nice and helpful. Great location between Bourbon and Royal in the French Quarter. Cons While we were there we found out they are closing as of 12-01-08. Hopefully someone will buy this lovely old property and reopen it. more

Not so suite#9 was introduced into our lives in July2008 and leaves us wondering how a couple of locals could have been duped into staying at this garbage substation. Firstly, there was this sense of southern hospitality when the bellman was seen admiring my wife carrying 20 pieces of luggage by herself. After check-in, we squeezed through the door fit... more

We just loved this nice little hotel. Location is excellent along Toulouse, halfway between Bourbon and Royal. Everything (bars, famous restaurants, shops) is within a couple blocks. We stayed in Room 15 and had a sitting room on street side and bedroom on courtyard side. Bedroom had French doors that opened to courtyard. At night it was quiet for sleeping... more

Although the property is not up to date in every way, staying here is like living in the French Quarter of New Orleans. We loved the private courtyards, amazing pool, great service, etc. One of us did not love the noise at night, but of course, this is part of living in the Quarter! This is our 6th or 7th... more

I've visited the Maison de Ville a few times and always had a wonderful experience. Staying at the main house or at the Audubon Cottages is one of the best parts of my trip to New Orleans. The friendly staff, beautiful architecture, lush courtyards and traditional New Orleans decor are perfect. I always recommend the Maison de Ville to friends... more

The location is great - just off Bourbon street right in the French Quarter. And quiet enough though that you can sleep. The staff were very friendly and personable. Nice bed, thick towels and robes. Beautiful courtyard and atmospheric hotel. You feel the history of the place. Now for the minuses: We booked a courtyard room and got a room... more

Although my stay was brief this time at the Maison Deville it was just as great as I expected and hoped for. My friends and I spend Lundi Gras in Room 15. The attic room was wonderful and very quiet. The balcony that overlooked the courtyard and French Quarter roofline was better than I expected. As usual the staff was... more

My fiance and I recently spent the weekend in cottage #2, and had a nice relaxing experience. I never knew we could relax and feel as though we were on vacation in the city we live in. We were both upset to leave when it came time to return to our "real" home. The rooms are large and the jacuzzi... more

Over the years my husband and I have stayed at Hotel Maison De Ville a number of times. I agree with the negative reviews. At first you may be enchanted with the veneer of elegance, so to speak, but when you scratch just below the surface, well, it's pretty grubby. The staff wasn't what I would call exceptionally customer-friendly, either.... more
