This hotel is charming, quaint and has all the comforts of home. The pool area is so exquisite. The location could not be more perfect, within walking distance of everything, but just far enough away from the noise. We stayed there just before Christmas and the lobby, although small had such a cozy feel and the hot chocolate served in... More

Never have stayed here in our 20 or more trips to the Quarter, but would book with them again. Rooms are a great value during the week and go up on weekends. We got a good deal through Iprefer. Did not visit the restaurant, but it did not look very busy.

I went to New Orleans for business a few weekends ago, and Bienville House was one of the only properties where rooms were available for around the federal per diem. On the plus side, the rooms and service were fine, and the location is great. The value was okay considering what else was available. On the minus side, it's an... More

The location is PERFECT; a couple blocks from Canal Street in the French Quarter but away from the noise of Bourbon Street when you're trying to sleep. The streetcar lines on Canal, the Canal Street Shops, the heart of the Quarter, and the riverfront attractions are all just a brief walk away. I would recommend the sundeck rooms as they... More

We stayed here for 2 out of the 4 nights we were in New Orleans, and I wish it had been all 4. Room 360 was really adorable and had a great balcony. Can't say anything about the restaurant or breakfast as we didn't try them. Some if the staff could have been a little but friendlier, but we were... More

This hotel needs updating, could use new mattress (very soft), carpet had it share of stains, bathroom tub had no drain stop, this is an old hotel but not in a good way. The location is great, but that's about it.

Beautiful, small hotel away from the craziness of Bourbon Street. The room was lovely, the wait staff all were accommodating and friendly, the location made it easy to walk around the French Quarter. We had a loud couple staying next to use that occasionally was disruptive but not while we were sleeping, and a train awoke us several times. We'd... More

When you think of hotels unique to New Orleans, Bienville House is one of them. This hotel is a small boutique style hotel on Decatur Street far enough away from Bourbon Street to not be bothered by all the noise, but also close enough to all the action if that is you preference..The entire staff was wonderful and very helpful..They... But beware of the $125 pet fee that is not advertised anywhere online...and a $30 parking fee, so don't let the low room rate fool you. Otherwise a fair hotel but with a very slow elevator.
