This place is horribly over-priced, run-down, seedy, and not at all charming. Never in 40 years of coming to New Orleans have we been treated so shabbily. The staff is so mismanaged, no one knows what's going on, nor do they care. Valets openly argued in front of guests and complained to guests that they were being treated badly by... More

No water pressure, cold showers, tiny room, awful pillow... What else can I say. It is in need of updating. The pool is the size of a large fountain. No room service or minibar. Breakfast was complimentary and pretty good. The hotel is quaint but is basically a b&b with higher rates. Never again.

I LOVE this place and I'm definitely coming back! When I travel I have a few requirements for a hotel: free wifi, close to where I want to be, privacy when I want it, and some historic nature, gardens, or interesting story to it. My mother has other requirements: a good bed, good service, worth the value, and TV. Since... More

My wife and I stayed at this property in December 2005 right after Katrina, while the city was still in the throes of a squalid and fetid shock and recovery. The hotel was good then, but has been upgraded and is remarkably nice. The staff could not be more accommodating, from the front desk to the continental breakfast crew (expecially... More

This place was incredible! I wasn't sure before booking, with some of the negative reviews, but I assure you it was fantastic! I am single and by myself while my other friends stayed on bourbon in more expensive high rise hotels. They stopped at my place and were jealous! It was compared to "Melrose Place" with nice people by my... More

The "newly remodeled" room featured peeling wall paper, a bathroom so tight that they could not put the toilet paper on the roller and a wall air conditioner installed with duct tape. Also missing light bulbs in lamps. Worse yet was the parking, in a dirt lot that once our Ford Fiesta was parked it stayed because the lot was... More

We stayed 3 nights and couldn't have found a better hotel for the location and price. The hotels deceptively large but has a small B&B feel to it with small courtyards and lots of privacy. Although the room was relatively small it served our purposes perfectly. The location is great with only a walk of 2 minutes to Bourbon Street... More

Great service by staff with two pools and free wifi. But the room we got was tiny barely enough room to lay a suit case out. Despite that it was clean and functional and offered free breakfast and small touches like free milk and cookies during the afternoon. Good location for walking around French quarter. Beware the extortionate parking rates... More

Had a nice stay at this wonderful historic hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and quite filling. Cookies and milk were available for an afternoon snack and a bowl of fruit was always present. Also liked that there were numerous water dispensers readily available. The staff was great and very accommodating!

Our stay was disturbing at first because of a group of unruly guests. The staff and manager were understanding and helpful and moved us to a more secluded, charming room and discounted our account. After we moved, we had the nicest vacation anyone could want in the French Quarter. The hotel is close to all venues and on a quite... More
